Review: At the end of December I applied for health insurance through eHealth for Coventry Health Care. The amount per month that I signed up for was $160. On January 10 I recieved an email saying that my application was accepted and after my first payment I'd have health insurance. My first payment was $290 not $160. I have called numours numbers to contact Coventry and ask why the rate was increased when I didnt apply for the amount. No one could answer my question because they werent authorized to look at my actual billing information. They all sent me to the individual health insurance number for Coventry. This number I have called multiple times and was on hold for as long as 2 hours. Most of the time I called and waited and figured I'd just call back again later and I wouldnt have to wait that long. But every time was a long wait just to talk to someone and figure out my health plan. Also, through all the days of calling and waiting I start receiving another letter saying I owe over $900. I havent even used this insurance. When I finally got ahold of someone she told me I was at the wrong place and directed my call to another number. The nice lady on the phone told me she was sorry but she didnt know why I was directed to her. She also told me the number I had just called and told me she wasnt sure why I was transfered to her. So again I call and I wait and finally I get ahold of someone. I ask her why it went from $160 to $290 and she didnt have an answer for me. I also asked her if it can go back to $160 like I signed up for and she said no. So I told her I would like to cancel. She sent me an email of the cancelation form and I filled it out and sent it back in the email provided. That was about a month or month in a half ago. A couple days ago, I get a letter in the mail saying that I owe over $900 still. Then today I get a phone call from my bank asking me about the $900 because I dont have that in my account. I told them to send it back and that I will try to call them again and figure it out. I'm almost 100% certain that I did not give them my bank account information. They did however have my credit card information which I changed so they wouldnt take the money out. I wasnt sure which kind of complaint to put for this because its mainly about them still trying to charge me when I've already sent a cancelation and I've called numours times to get this settled. I greatly appreciate your time with this and I hope something can be figured out soon. If there is anything else I can do or any information I can send to help resove this issue please let me know. I cancelled Coventry Health Care, but they continued removing hundreds of dollars from my bank account via auto pay. They said they would refund the money but refused to put anything in writing. Instead of replacing the money, they only removed hundreds more the following month. I had to put a stop payment on the account and may have to close it completely. I've called, I've written, I've filed complaints, and now I am warning everyone to stay away from such a dishonest company. I was very worried last year when they changed my plan and left me no access to the specs. I had to call twice and have them mailed. When I finally got them months later, it was clear why they didn't want me having access to what my plan covered.
