I'm sorry for the delay in response, but I thought I had already addressed this through the Revdex.com portal I have spoken to this customer many times since the move and have notified her that , as per contract, any true damages would be covered at cents per pound as dictated by Texas law After hearing that coverage, her claims went from damage to a lamp, and a wet sofa, to the extensive list that she has submitted below Her claim to items being or having received rain is probably accurate and required her attention to wipe down when it was delivered Items covered under insurance exclude "acts of god" which rain falls into that category and although she scoffed at this notion on ever public review site she could find, it is standard in all moving contracts, as we do not carry rain gear or special equipment to operate in inclement weather It is up to the customer whether we proceed with the move, postpone or reschedule, and she wanted us to proceed thus taking ownership of that liabilityI just t is not possible to carry items with blankets attached to them, and blankets do nothing to protect it from water as it soaks right through and makes moving the item much more difficult The furniture that did get slightly wet, not soaked, as she claims, was only exposed to the elements a distance of about 15ft which was from the back of the truck into the covered stairwell and once inside the stairwell, rain was no longer an issueI never accepted "no responsibility" as is claimed, and offered to pay at the contractually obligated price of for items that were truly damaged by 'our negligence" but can not pay for items that became damp due to the conditions and her inability to wipe down items as they were delivered She claimed on the phone the same day that her apartment already smelled of mildew because of the rain and that is simply not possible as mildew takes days to set in it is not immediate So the offer of the contractual insurance has always been available but her claim of $is not even in the ballpark of what coverage she is entitled to So we deny that claim based on it being excessive, without merit and above the insurance that is standard

I have spoken with mrs *** and we both agree that the only answer to the missing suitcase was theft from an outside source while the movers were bringing things into her apartment Although this is unfortunate and completely out of our control, we did settle this with Mrs *** directly and to
her satisfaction. ***

I'm sorry for the delay in response, but I thought I had already addressed this through the Revdex.com portal.  I have spoken to this customer many times since the move and have notified her that , as per contract, any true damages would be covered at .60 cents per pound as dictated by Texas law....

After hearing that coverage, her claims went from damage to a lamp, and a wet sofa, to the extensive list that she has submitted below.  Her claim to items being  or having received rain is probably accurate and required her attention to wipe down when it was delivered.  Items covered under insurance exclude "acts of god" which rain falls into that category and although she scoffed at this notion on ever public review site she could find, it is standard in all moving contracts, as we do not carry rain gear or special equipment to operate in inclement weather.  It is up to the customer whether we proceed with the move, postpone or reschedule, and she wanted us to proceed thus taking ownership of that liability. I just t is not possible to carry items with blankets attached to them, and blankets do nothing to protect it from water as it soaks right through and makes moving the item much more difficult.  The furniture that did get slightly wet, not soaked, as she claims, was only exposed to the elements a distance of about 15ft which was from the back of the truck into the covered stairwell and once inside the stairwell, rain was no longer an issue. I never accepted "no responsibility" as is claimed, and offered to pay at the contractually obligated price of .60 for items that were truly damaged by 'our negligence" but can not pay for items that became damp due to the conditions and her inability to wipe down items as they were delivered.  She claimed on the phone the same day that her apartment already smelled of mildew because of the rain and that is simply not possible as mildew takes days to set in it is not immediate.  So the offer of the contractual insurance has always been available but her claim of $650.00 is not even in the ballpark of what coverage she is entitled to.  So we deny that claim based on it being excessive, without merit and above the insurance that is standard.
