[redacted] I am attaching the proof from the battery manufacturer of the batteries testing bad as well as the documentation from the shop that the battery cable was not Corroded, eaten up and rotten as service writer [redacted] stated to me. I also brought Covert the battery cable in question so they could test it or show me the corrosion to prove that it was not as described my [redacted]. Cable still in my possession for proof. As far as our conversation when I brought the pickup in. I told [redacted] that I could not remove one positive cable  to look at it because of the small open end wrench I had in my tool kit. Corrosion was not seen by me when I was looking at cables waiting on tow truck. Covert is still not addressing the fact they misdiagnosed a simple dead battery and was in the process of replacing a 800 part that was not bad. This is the bigger issue and Covert will not answer. If they cant diagnose a simple dead battery how many other big repairs have been that did not need to be.

Good Morning, we have issued a check for $200.00 that will be mailed out today for [redacted].  We left a voicemail for [redacted] that we are sending him a check.   Thank you for your help in resolving this matter.  [redacted]

During our diagnoses of Mr. [redacted] 2005 silverado, we found the positive cable connectors and bolts to be badly corroded at the battery post causing a loss of voltage to the truck. Mr. [redacted] verbally stated to service consultant [redacted] that he was unable to remove the cables from the...

batteries due to the amount of corrosion damage. As part of our diagnoses we tested both batteries and found that they passed the cranking amperage test at the time of diagnoses. We were unable to complete the cable replacement approved by Mr. [redacted] before the weekend so he paid the diagnoses fee , restocking fee for the special ordered cable, and removed his vehicle from our facility. As far as the cable being cut and batteries testing bad by someone else after vehicle was removed from our possession this should not be our expense. Sincerely, [redacted]
