Covington Honda-Nissan

I started my search online and received prompt customer service. I scheduled an appointment with [redacted] and went down the next day. I could not be more pleased with my experience. We hit a few road blocks due to my previous car loan, but everything was taken care of with little to no stress for myself. I was able to get the car I wanted, a payment I was comfortable with, and a promise for excellent after-purchase car care. The entire team at Covington Honda Nissan was exceptional. Review: On 9/2/2014, I went to Covington Honda to look for a reliable used car with low mileage in excellent condition. I had a previous good experience with this business and expected

same again.

Salesperson showed us a Nissan Versa 2007 with no stickers in the windows, parked separately from the other used cars. [redacted] assured us that the car was Certified Inspected,

in great condition with no mechanical defects, 1 owner and well maintained. He looked up Carfax but never gave me any time to read the document and did not give me the document until

AFTER he high pressured me into writing a post dated check and signing a promissory note. I did tell him that both my Mother and Brother had recently passed away and I was under a lot of

emotional duress.I was shoved through the sale and given no time to read any documents.

We picked up the car on 9/4/2014, and drove it less than 26 miles up a steep, winding mountain road when the engine light came on, the car lost power and thus steering capacity and we were

almost killed from the vehicle drifting into oncoming traffic!

I do not believe that the vehicle was inspected properly, nor that it was "Certified Inspected" as there were no stickers of any kind in any window on the vehicle, stating "as is" or "warranty" or anything at all.

I believe that [redacted] and Covington Honda/Nissan KNEW that the vehicle was unsafe and simply did not care about the probability of the vehicle endangering our lives.

[redacted] assured us that the vehicle was "Certified Inspected" and simply parked in a separate area because it was "just traded in".Desired Settlement: Full refund/voided contract. I wanted to buy a used car with some warranty but I am now distrustful of Covington Honda/Covington Nissan's ability to honestly represent the condition of possible vehicles. I used to have confidence in this company and hoped to continue purchasing exclusively from them. Both my Son and I were assured that the car was Certified Inspected(though completely unmarked as such by the dealer) and in" great condition."

The engine failed and spewed oil everywhere less than 26 miles after delivered, and we were not given adequate time to read documents because "3 people had already

expressed interest." Due to the amount of oil all over the interior hood, I believe that [redacted] and Covington Honda knew very well that this car is a LEMON!

Finally, we realized too late who our salesperson was who was so great on our first purchase, and would've enjoyed buying a car from the original person but no one gave us this option.

We no longer trust Covington Honda/Covington Nissan and will inform our friends and coworkers of our bad experience with this company. I am prepared to file legal complaint.

Could not be happier! This dealership is NOT what I expected. [redacted] and [redacted] did a GREAT job on resolving my issue with the Nissan and I bought a Honda today that I LOVE

because of them. The owner is actually [redacted] and I have NO COMPLAINT

with Covington Honda and am hoping that you will agree to delete my previous

complaint as it is not illustrative of this dealership. I received a full refund of my down payment, cancellation of

contract on Nissan that had a defective fuse and a GREAT DEAL on a Honda AWD with

a bumper to bumper warranty. [redacted] and [redacted] really came through! Please

exonerate Covington Honda.
