When looking at the vehicle I bought with no warranty I read the typed letter of vehicle info that was on the dash. It stated it has Bose speakers, this was a big selling point because Bose is an extremely high-end speaker and very expensive. I noticed a day later that the stereo didn't sound right and volume wasn't very loud, (my mother's Chevy Trax has a Bose system and they did not compare! I didn't notice it right away because I had the volume very low so I could listen for any noise's related to performance issue's because it is used and wanted to be aware of any problems. So I looked in the trunk and seen the rear speakers were punch speakers, (very cheap, and most importantly, not Bose)! The Bose amp is inoperable because the wires are all cut and disconnected I tried to reason with the owner of Cox Auto Sales LLC, trying for some resolution and he told me I can take the $200. I requested to be taken off the asking price and buy the speakers myself and then hung up on me... I just so happened to not throw away the letter that the used car lot typed stating all the options and components that were on the car.

RESPONSE:
As mentioned to the customer during the sale, we sell all of our vehicles "as is" with no warranty. Each sale requires the customer to sign a paper stating that they understand this. The customer signed the buyers guide, which states he was aware that he was purchasing the vehicle without a warranty.
In regards with his complaint concerning the speakers, we make it clear that each of our vehicles have been inspected to the best of our ability. We are a small dealership, and do not have major resources to dismantle each vehicle to check for such things as speaker wiring problems, or speaker replacements. This is why we encourage customers to drive each vehicle, and take as much time needed to inspect the vehicle before purchasing. We are not "pushy" salesmen, and take pride in being open and honest with each customer. Again, this is why we encourage customers do thoroughly inspect each vehicle before purchasing.
Once the customer contacted us with his speaker complaint, we apologized and reminded him that he purchased the vehicle as is. We also sold the vehicle to him for $200 below the list price of $4,700, and encouraged him to repair the speakers with the $200 that we took off of the sale price. T
