Review: My car broke down and wouldn't start. I called [redacted] to tow to local station which was Cox. They said I needed a new starter and replaced it with a used starter. I was not asked if I wanted a new one or used one. I picked up the car the next day and asked for paperwork so I could send in warranty information and they advised a used one was put in. They also said my starter was send back as a core and didn't have it. I took the car home and the next morning I had the same problem. It didn't start. I had to have [redacted] come again and had it towed to a dealership. It ended up I didn't need a starter at all. It was in the wiring ([redacted] Module) and I had it replaced. I called Cox to tell them my car wouldn't start and next day and they didn't' call back for a week so I had it sent elsewhere because I needed the car. Cox also charged me $268.78 for a used starter (a new one was far less) and $150 labor for something that has two bolts to remove. My complaint is he didn't return my call, didn't ask if I wanted a new one or my old one back, overcharged for the used one and overcharged for labor. Also the car was not fixed. It still wouldn't start. When you turn the key and there is zero clicking or noise, its obvious its not the starter The dealership is issuing me a letter stating they definitely overcharged me according to industry standards and didn't fix the issue. I called him to ask for my starter back and he says he now has it even though the guy that works for him said he had to give it in for core the day I picked up the car. I asked for the credit for the core and he said they get it, not me? I got only the shaft. Fixing the car cost over $1,000 for the[redacted] module which I took up with GM.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the total bill for services NOT-rendered for $450.69. I paid by credit card but he wrote in to the card and denied my claim so I am doing this before going to small claims. I will add the $90 fee to the small claims documents if not resolved using Revdex.com first.
