In response to complaint of [redacted] *., we did have her dogs here at the kennel recentlyThe yorkie mix, the dog that she stated had feces stuck on backend, that is entirely possible due to the fact the dog has very long hair and has not been groomed in a very long timeIn fact b.t? told me when she made reservation that she does not have it groomed in the winterShe had asked about bathing them when I spoke on phone to her and wanted a quote, I said I couldn't give a quote without seeing them, because it would depend on how long it would take to dryShe told me at that time that he had a lot of hair because she does not groom him in winter.? If feces was stuck there it is due to too much hair in backend and the feces can't get through when having a bowel movementI feel she has neglected the dog by not getting it groomed on a regular basis or at least keeping the hair trim around the rectum. As far as the other dog peeing for minutes when she went to pet him, he was a very skiddish dog and the only way he would pee for me is I had to wrap him in a blanket and take him outside, and then I'd set him down and go towards him like I was going to pet him and he would "submissively " pee , mainly out of frightMany small breeds are like that, doing the submissive peeing when petted or making a move towards them.As far as food goes, she brought a 5-pound bag of food with them.? They had free choice food available the whole time they were hereThey did not eat a lot, which is common when dogs are in a strange environment.? They did eat their treats everyday and some food everyday so I knew that they were not in danger of starving.I took actually special care of them by carrying them outside every time we did dog walking.? Most dogs go out on their own, hers would not.? They were not traumatized here, only frightenedIn the years of owning this facility, we have learned to "read" dogs quite well, they would growl and hide in the corner but if was fear, not aggression but we worked with them and carried them around. We feel we did care for them as is was stated on the boarding agreement which she signedAs I said before, they actually got special treatment being carried around
