Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/14) */
This problem initially started when he put a sim adapter, not just a sim, into his LG G3 and it got stuck. He brought the phone in to us to have the adapter removed and we were not aware of an issue with the G3 that if you put a sim adapter in...

it is most likely the pins will be broken trying to remove the adapter, and they were. I have tried to resolve this issue with the customer. I explained to him that we are not certified to do the level of soldering required to replace the sim reader and I told him we would pay half the repairs if he could find someone. He contacted ** and told me it would be $250 for the repair and I agreed to pay half. He called me back 10 minutes later to tell me he wanted the shipping paid for too and I agreed. Then he called me back 5 minutes later and told me that wasn't good enough, he was not going to wait weeks for ** to repair the phone. I offered to sell him the LG G3 I have in the store for $200. The phone is $375, is unlocked and comes with a 6 month warranty. He told me that he wouldn't give me more than a $100 and hung up. The next thing I hear is this complaint from you. I don't know why he has reneged on each deal we made but I would be happy to pay him the $150 if that's what he wants.
[redacted] I also have concerns that he wants to sell the broken phone, knowing it cannot be used as a phone. [redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/08/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
He wants me to give him my phone that he broke and 200 dollars for the used unlocked one he has in store. My phone was unlocked as well. Buying the one he has for 200 dollars means I am eating this cost and they are losing nothing because fixing my phone and reselling it afterwards get them profitable but puts me in the hole for the phone they broke. I also find it questionable that now they have a sign in their store saying they won't fix my problem. Initially they took my phone and tried to repair. Then they broke the gold pins. I did not break them. If they couldn't fix it , then they shouldn't have tried.[redacted] I want theirs for 150 outright or I want 100 bucks for the unrepairable damage they caused me. In any case I'm not getting fully reimbursed. I'm still out the several hundred dollars I spent on this phone. You think I'm going to sell it in the condition it is in? If someone wants it for parts that's my prerogative. You have stated online you'd sell me the unlocked g3 you have in store for 200 but didn't mention that u wanted the phone u broke as well. I'll give u my phone that u broke and 100 for your phone or u can give me 100 bucks and we can call it even. [redacted]
