Hello [redacted] , In response to the attached complaint I can say that we do have a record of the customer visiting our store and having the version Nexus repaired Our charge port repairs do not have a “Lifetime” warranty but do come with a “Month Warranty” against parts and labor We have replaced the charge port for the customer two times (the original and the return visit for a warranty) On both occasions the device was tested in the store before handing back to the customer and the device worked AND charged correctly I should note that the second time the device came in for repair, the charge port was working properly, but because the customer was complaining of a failure, we did replace the charge port to be sure there was not an issue As I mentioned above, the charge port was functioning correctly when the customer took delivery of the device We informed him that the issue is likely related to the charger he is using, which is very common Please feel free to contact me if I can be of further assistance Sincerely, [redacted] Cell Phone Repair - South Austin [redacted]

Hello [redacted], Thanks for the response.   I’m not sure wheat the customer is referring to, when he says the part was not working, the part was working and was tested prior to releasing the tablet back to the customer both times.  We would not have released the repair to a customer unless the repair was successful.       As I mentioned previously, the repair does have a 6 month warranty, this is a complimentary warranty provide by our store, as you can see by the warranty included on the customer receipt, many of our repairs come with our “Lifetime Warranty” but any soldering, as with the Nexus 7 Charge Port replacement does not carry a warranty (I’ve pasted a copy of the warranty from the receipt and flagged the key area I red text.   Regardless, we do want our customers to be happy and understand that we back our work, as such we will honor a 6 month warranty even on soldered repairs.    As we told the customer, the damage is very likely the result of the charging unit that the customer is using on the tablet.    That said, we would be happy to review and repair the charge port for the customer again, and review the repair with the customer, to ensure the repair is successful and working before he takes the table home again.   "Acknowledgment of Limited Lifetime Warranty Coverage   This CPR Cell Phone Repair franchised location offers a limited lifetime warranty on all parts and labor associated with the preceding repair.  This limited lifetime warranty covers manufacturer-related part defects on parts installed by this CPR Cell Phone Repair franchised location as well as the workmanship associated with the preceding repair only, and does not cover supplemental damage. I am rejecting this response because:
When I left the store the first time they told me that IT does come with lifetime warranty and the second time I dont think it was replaced because when you connect the charger you have to move the cable around the port because it doesnt show that is charging. It's almost like the cable is loose when you connect it.
