Had ***, the owner himself paint our house with his crew, and have a warrantee that is still in effect for another year, but he won't return my calls when I told him my garage doors and front doors paint are cracking and peeling. Theses are two things that he mentions that he warrantees. He answered once and asked me to send pictures, so I did, and ever since has not heard from him. He was very nice when he came and did the job and supplied his license number and everything. Didn't think he would do this. I've texted and left messages throughout the end of last year to no avail. Very disappointed! His CA Lic# is

This is my answer to the claim against me, to begin with I
think she is using the word cracking paint to make the complaint sound a bit
more dramatic, peeling sounds more real. In the complaint she states that I painted her house but
to be clear, only the front part of the house was painted not the whole house. Long after the paint job was finished, she called me if I could
go to her house to repair something at the FRONT DOOR that it looks like
the paint was peeling, when I went, they told me that someone threw a stone at
the door, which is not my problem, therefore I made it clear that it was not my
responsibility to repair things like that since those incidents are not under warranty.I help them out and I went to the store bought the necessary
materials to do the touch-up of the front door, they did cover the expenses of
the materials $20.00 dollars, I explain
to them that for the door to look as it was before the entire door need it to
be painted but they ask me to just touch-up the door. I did not charge them anything for my labor. Then in another occasion she texted and call me a good
number of times because they had seen a spot of paint on the floor near the
trim of the front door and that herself and her husband had tried multiple
times to clean it up but the drop of paint was not coming out and if I could tell her how to remove the spot of
paint? I replied her to wet with water a
rag, that the paint was water base. She call
me that I need it to go because they were unable to clean it up, therefore I
had to go to see what was happening, it took me no more than 5 minutes to clean
it, and she asked me how I cleaned it, and with the rag in my hand my answer
was a rag with water.GARAGE DOORS: The garage doors are wooden and very old doors
that have been painted multiple times, when I went to see the job it was the
first thing that I notice because it was obvious that they would require a lot
of labor to make them look good. I was
very clear with them that for me to make the doors look good that I would have
to invest a lot of time and labor therefore money. They told me that they only
wanted to paint them for now because eventually they were going to replace the garage
doors. I scraped off the loose paint, sanded and applied
caulking on each one of the panels from
the garage doors, and then applied two spray coats of paint, however two days
later they told me that they wanted more preparation at the panels join where the
doors open and close (which are several), it was then when I reminded them
again, that it was the reason why I was stressing the importance for them to
understand the amount of preparation required to leave them in perfect condition
considering the condition of the garage doors, they need it to invest a lot of
money on the doors that it was better to replace them, but I went and had a
person with many years of experience, a full day to prepare the area of the joins
and then we put two coats of paint with a brush, and apply a coat more with
spray, I told them that the old paint was no longer stick to the wood and that
it would keep peeling off.I went above and beyond and this are exactly her words on
her review for my job performance, is incomprehensive her claim when she knew
exactly the condition of her garage doors.I’m always very clear with clients when I see something that
is better to be replaced then fix but at the end, they are the ones who make
the decision of what is best for them. I think that’s why I never encounter any
problems until now. They contacted me through thumbtack where she left me a
5-star review and a good comment, I find it quite disappointed that she went to
google and gave me 1 star just because they did not understood when I told them
what was going to happened with the paint of garage doors based in the state of
the doors. I’m with thumbtack since 2016 until 2019 where I’m consider
a top pro and for someone to be a top pro must have between 4.9 to 5 stars and I
was always a 5-star professional. As you can see in this case, there were no
profits. It was a partial work, I cannot continue to have more expenses in this
job and these people know it, they should be more considerate and not to abuse.

I do not see the point in mentioning the fence, the fence was a
separate bet, in fact was after the front of the house was done. The paint that is peeling off
from the garage doors is the old paint that is getting detached from the wood
and that has nothing to do with the paint that I applied, I haven’t heard any complaints
on the body or the trim from the front of the house and it was the same quality
of paint.Regarding the garage doors I will
attach one photo in which is clear that the paint that is peeling off is the
old paint, the paint that I apply is brown and is perfectly attached to the old
paint, something that I told her that it could happened.(these photo are the same one that
she sent me and mention on her claim) Ladies and gentlemen of the Revdex.com I
appreciate your time in reviewing this case but with this I believe that I have
already said and exposed in the best way possible, and I do not see the point of continuing with this
back and forth, I thing that you have enough material to draw a conclusion. On my part, what I am going to do
is thanks the good reviews and from the bad ones, learn from it.Thanks again

I am rejecting this response because:To Revdex.com,His last message notes that the paint on the garage door is peeling because the old paint underneath is getting detached from the doors. This shows that he did not thoroughly sand off the old pain, which is a normal step of painting over old paint. I have no issue of the type or quality of the paint itself, just that he gave us a warranty that guarantees NO peeling for three years. We asked him to do his best and he said he would and gave us the warranty against peeling. The main objective of this claim was that its on record for the public that yes, he gives a warranty, but he does NOT honor it.Thank you for your time.Regards
