New patient visit with consultation scheduled. At time of consultation, asked if our insurance was accepted and was told yes. After consultation and cleaning, a cavity was detected and follow up for scheduled. At check out, payment was made of $510.00 which seems high but figured would get adjusted after insurance claim filed. Received a bill with insurance covering $132 of a $716 bill. We call the office and they said that they "accept all insurances but are NOT in network with any of them." This practice is dishonest and deceitful. Stating that you accept insurance implies that you are in network and at time of service you have an obligation to tell patients that you are out of network with all providers. I would understand if you were not in network with some insurances that these oversights can happen, but given this circumstance they obviously knew we would be hit with a huge out of pocket cost.

Contact by the Business Refund for half of all costs. Better signage at front desk detailing that ALL insurances are out of network and that business does not take any insurance.
