Crafted Ever After Reviews (%countItem)

Elizabeth A owner of Crafted Ever After advertised pictures of a handmade mug in her Etsy shop that were different than the one she sent to me. She falsely advertised a one of kind item to sell using one picture multiple times for different mugs. It’s a bait and switch situation that she refuses to be accountable and responsible for. I have offered to send back the mug that she sent me, again different than the one I ordered. She refused because her exchange policy. However, false advertising & bait/switch is her error. I am asking for my full refund refund immediately.

Crafted Ever After Response • Feb 12, 2020

Hello ***,

This is Elizabeth from Crafted Ever After. We spoke not to long ago today. Here is my response to the complaint number referenced in the subject line.

There are four pictures below. First, the customer's receipt that they sent me a screenshot of. I did not take that picture, they did. That is their actual digital receipt. You can see the mug in question at the bottom: handle on left, runny glaze under the moon and little gold star on the right side. Second picture is a picture of the mug they own that they sent me. Notice it matches the one on their order (handle on left, runny glaze under moon and gold star on right side). Below that are two pictures from their listing that they ordered from (I clicked on their order in my records and that is the listing that came up because that is exactly what the customer purchased) that clearly show handle on left, runny glaze under moon and gold star on right side. It shows a speckled white interior that matches exactly what the person ordered. They are the exact same mug. Everything is legitimate and clearly shown because that it how I like to do things.

This person messaged me January 27 2020 saying that they did not get what they ordered from a purchase made September 23rd 2019 that was delivered September 25th 2019 according to USPS records. In the discovery process it came out that they did receive exactly what they ordered; however, after over 120 days this person wanted a full refund that went against my shop policies.

This is my response to their want-to-return after it became clear that this person wanted money from me and began to try to bully me into acquiescence. Below is a copy of my shop policy that is listed on my shop that I sent to the customer.

"It has been over 120 days since the delivery of your order. My shop policy found in my shop is as follows. I gladly accept returns- Contact me within: 14 days of delivery Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery Conditions of return- Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value."

I also reached out to Etsy support to get their opinion because this person was getting quite rude and would not stop messaging me. I also explained to Etsy that I was concerned about taking a return after someone owned a item that holds food in their possession for over four months (even though they received exactly as ordered) and that I have no idea what they have done to the item during that time. This was Etsy's response:

"Thanks for reaching out. I'm really sorry to hear about the difficulties you've had with this order. I can understand your concerns. While I can't fully resolve this issue, I can provide you with some helpful information. Because of the age of the order, it is no longer case eligible, meaning the buyer is not able to request mediation. Like you because of the age we would have no way to determine what happened to the mug over the months it's been in the buyer's position. It entirely at your discretion if you want to provide a refund or not. If you decide not to refund you're acting fully within your shop and Etsy policies."

I decided to stick to my shop policies because of the age of the order and the fact that the person received the exact item they ordered. Their insistence to get refund money from me as soon as possible before they would even consider shipping the item back makes me believe this person was contacting me for potentially nefarious reasons and that it was completely reasonable to not offer a return as the item was exactly as described and shown and the it was over 4x's the window to perform a return.
