Craftsman Cabinets & Floor

Review: We began working with Craftsman in October of 2012 on the construction of our new home. [redacted] (whom we have dealt with the entire process) was polite the first meeting, but as time went on he became more and more hostile and non-responsive. He quickly informed us that he deals with much more expensive budgets, clearly indicating our business was not worth much to him. In the last 15 months, he has become incredibly difficult and has been avoiding us and our complaints. He will not return our calls when we have tried to reach him. During the building process he refused to fix tiles that were put in poorly. When our builder contacts him for us, he too is given the run around. Most recently, we have been waiting on posts for our kitchen cabinets to be replaced. This too has been delayed month by month and just today [redacted] told our builder that they had been ordered and have now been "misplaced". MANY things that were supposed to be ordered have been put off for MONTHS, and when his company finally shows up to do the work, it is incomplete and more things must be ordered, which in turn starts the vicious cycle over. The initial work his company provided was mediocre at best. I still have carpet in my upstairs hallway that was cut too narrow for the area. The tile was put in horribly and has dips and high corners that look terrible. It took 5 months to have glass inserted into the butler's pantry cabinet door (which if I understand it correctly, Craftsman kept dropping the ball and giving us the run around enough, that our builder just went to a glass company and had it cut to avoid working with [redacted] on that issue any more). I have been patient through this process and I have reached a point that I am no longer going to sit quietly while Craftsman takes advantage of me. This is our dream home that we had custom built and it is riddled with flaws thanks to Craftsman's shoddy practices.Desired Settlement: Although I truly would like the work to be completed correctly (the tile, carpet, and cabinets), I do not feel that [redacted] and Craftsman will be willing to do that. I think at minimum an apology for poor business practices and lack of communication would be nice.
