I believe the Revdex.com provides a great service for both the consumer and businesses alikeUnfortunately, customers such as this particular one take advantage of the services your organization offersThere is not one shred of truth in the compliant put forward by this customer except
for the fact that we did indeed build her a deck at the propertyShe was rude from the get go, actually making one employee cry because she was relentless in her unfounded complaintsThe deck was done properly to Brookhaven town code, inspected by a town engineer, and given a final certificate of occupancyShe was rude to the two workers who constructed the deck, making out right racist remarks, calling them "***", stating that they did not know what they were doing because they did not speak English, which could not be further from the truthSeveral years after the completion of the deck, the ground in front of her stair case sunk, no fault of Craftsman Fence, and because we do a lot of work in Country Point of Coram, where she lives, as a courtesy, we went over to her house and made all necessary repairs,free of chargeThe railing the customer is referring to in her complaint was switched out because there was a better railing now offered and approved by Country PointThat is what happens in construction technology, better ideas come along, we gave her an upgraded railing, free of charge, and she throws it in our faceI was disgusted when I read this disgusting compilation of liesIn her last and final attempt to take advantage of Craftsman Fence's generosity, she told us that a section of her lattice under her deck was crookedWe assumed this was from the snow leaning against it for a prolonged period of time and we were going to go check to see if this was indeed the caseShe called in the morning, we tried to squeeze her in THAT day, but warned her it may not work out and we would call herThe salesman was not going to be able to meet her at the time discussed so we called her to let her know and she exploded on the girls in the office, once agin being unreasonable, rude, and condescendingWe decided at that point that we would not tolerate her actions any longer and notified her that Craftsman Fence would no longer service her, and that she should contact another contractorThis is where she became enraged calling our office over and over and over each time telling us of a new thing she was going to do to Craftsman FenceAs far as we are concerned, this matter is closedHopefully this explains our position, but we have done all we can for this customer and no longer wish to be associated with such an individual Thank You

Save yourself a lot of aggravation and do not use this company.I I spent $7,000 with this company and the fence is falling apart. My calls are not returned, Apparently there is no after sale service. They sent 2 lazy [redacted] to do the job they could not even finish removing the fencing the first day. Posts are crooked on the stockade and not even nailed in. I wish I would have kept my 20 year old fence which was in much better shape than this 1.
I don't know how they stay in business.

[Your Answer Here]Once again complete lies by craftsman fence, the [redacted] lied to me about the screws in the planks and when the people he sent were using a nail gun and couldnt understand a word I was saying to them yet yelled  at me in front of my painter who would be happy to be a witness at the workers screaming when I called him on the nail gun I called the [redacted] who now that he had rthe money and contract and half a deck build showed me the screws that would be used then once the deck was half built this worker who may or may not be [redacted] but whatever he is could not communicate and screamed at me when I said "what are you doing with a nail gun I was told it would be screws that are used in the planks, the [redacted] also at that point when I called him pulled a bait and switch and at that phone call told me screaming at me it will be done with nails. When they came back as they described years later there rails were falling apart at the connections and wood was warped and rightly so that was fixed NOT as a favor as there workmanship and materials were poor quality. The planks have a lifetime warranty with them and they say they construct there own rail system. One of the workers that day also who did not speak english was screwing screws randomly in the middle of rails no where where a nail or screw would be, the other worker agreed and redid it when I pointed it out to him, I had to babysit them or they would have left it like that. The worker who agreed the other worker did it wrong told the other worker with me that worker who did it wrong had a fit screaming and sat in the car while the worker fixed it. They the top to the bot[redacted] at that company think they can lie to get business including the [redacted] who was the first one whom lied about using screws and showed them to me at the business then thinks they can show up once in contract and bait and switch and these company thinks they can get away with that among the many other things seen and noticed and brought to attention while they are working, their response is temper tantrums from the [redacted] the only time he ever responded to my call the first time about the screws bait and switch to nail gun yelling at me on the phone this will be done like this to the other workers when they are caught doing a botch job and told to fix it by me and there fellow worker that day. The [redacted] never responded to my call and the office staff railroads customers as myself after I am abused by their sales person screaming at me the last time he called to cancel at the last minute.When that appointment was made it was never stated it was a maybe appointment. I called the office to speak to the [redacted] to alert him his salesman was screaming at me and the office staff refused to leave a message or get the [redacted] on the phone , they were utterly nasty therefore I was not getting into anything with anyone but the [redacted] who never called back at all. This company is not happy with customers who are astute to their bait and switch and botched jobs and they are especially unhappy when the customer advises and demands the quality they were promised. They have a lifetime warranty on the planks which is what I told them and of course among many other issues they did not respond to because they have not a leg to stand on, they were called because a plank they put a nail in instead of the promised screws is cracking around the nail. They treat customers as myself like dirt once they lie to them to get their money and into a contract. They are the most abusive from the [redacted] down (although the time I met him before I signed a contract he was nice when he showed me the box of screws used for this type of plank which he then bait and switched to a nail gun) to the sales person once he had the contract also and the workers when they are caught doing the wrong thing on the deck once half built although one worker who also caught the other worker putting screws in randon wrong places on the rails was nice and fixed it while the other worker had a tantrum and sat in the car. Again once they have the money they have no regard for the quality promised the warranty promised or the specs of how it will be built. Town of brookhaven does not say nail gun or screws in the planks that is up to the  customer, this [redacted] lied right to my face then screamed at me it will be done with a nail gun when I called to tell him they are using a nail gun and not the screws he showed me and I asked for. This will be persued through their licensing agency, Revdex.com, internet reviews and small claims court. The [redacted] must think that his workers are" [redacted]" since he thought that up in his response to you as I could care less what their ethnicity is and I certainly would not know if they are [redacted] or not just that they could not properly communicate did not follow instructions of how I ordered a deck and tried to pull over substandard work and had tantrums when you brought that to their attention- regardless of anyones ethnicity that behavior is unacceptable in this realm of doing business. As soon as the weather clears and the installers return back to work, they will be over to reverse his gate spring.
Which is a simple repair, and was an honest mistake made by one of our installers.

Workers came in a timely manner, earlier than expected. Did a real nice job replacing my wooden handrail and gate with PVC. Hauled away my old handrail and gate. Nice job cleaning up. Ridge, NY

Review: I hired Craftsman Fence to reinstall 3 sections of existing pvc fence and to install a 5' wide self closing gate. The job was completed at the end of January and when the installer completed it he told me everything was fine, no problem, stay inside it is really cold outside and to call if I had any problems. I decided to check the gate a few days later and discovered the latch was installed upside down and the gate does not self close, it self opens. Once you unlatch the gate it swings fully opened. The proposal contract specifically states to make gate self closing/latching because of the pool in the backyard. I called craftsman fence on about February **, 2014 and they sent the salesperson back to check it out, I saw him pull away from the house and footprints in the snow but the office never called to say when the problem will be fixed. I spoke to the [redacted] again and she said she would leave a message for someone to return my call. Since February **, 2014 I have made three calls and left two messages but I have not received a phone call back. The gate is still not fixed which is holding me back from getting a C.O. on the pool.Desired Settlement: I want the gate fixed so that it is self closing and latching so I can get my pool permit. I paid for the job in full and the paperwork specifically state the gate ill be self closing.

Review: oroginally I went in person to this co and spoke to the [redacted], I made it clear that I want only screws used in the deck planks and he showed me the screws he said would be used made specifically for this type of deck material. After I went through all of the work to obtain permits etc the had workers come who used a nail gun not screws in the planks, the workers did not speak english so I had to call office where they were so rude and said it will be done with nail gun. The deck had inferior railing system where the brackets and hinges were cut sloppy and glued on. Terrible quality as compared to the decks around me where nothing like this was done by other companys. When the hinges and planks became bent and ruined I called the company which after letters to them with pictures and phone calls to them and alot of run around by them months went by before they came to repair the issues, [redacted] who came to access said they dont even use any of these hinges or brackets anymore for years that were used on my deck because of the issues with them - again no communication no english spoken by the workers so the worker was putting screws into rails in random places screws were not supposed to be rather than correcting things appropriately and once again had to call the office where I had to argue and get the run around again in order for it to be fixed. This company tells you one thing then does another then when you call to speak to the [redacted] he never calls you back and the staff is unbelievably rude and the [redacted] never corrects that. Again I called the comapny because the plank where they put nails is cracking and this is warranteed and the lattice they supplied and put on is coming off the salesman said he would be at my house at a certain time to look at issues and called at the last minute to cancel and again said it wasnt a priority as they`said last time and took the entire summer months until they fixed the issues previously (once they are paid they put you as non priority), I then once again called to speak to the [redacted] the [redacted] as always was rude and hung up on me because I told her I would only want to speak to [redacted] who she said would be back in 30 minutes. She slammed the phone on me the [redacted] never called back and [redacted] the sales man who cancelled appt at last minute called to say they would not be fixing the deck even though there is warranty. Not only am I reporting them to Revdex.com, but will take them to small claims court and will rate on every site online so public is aware of there poor quality poor business practices and bait and switch behavior and how once they have your money you are last on the list if at all. I did not want to pick nature of complaint as there are several that should be checked off and on the site we can only check one.Desired Settlement: repair only be people who know how to properly do so
