Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this responwese because: this office has never contacted me and left a message and I have called other times afterwards and when I called farmers cooperate office they told me I should have been contacted by my office to try and get better rates and when I called Craig's office they told me there isn't any better rates this is just a bad relationship from Craig's office and not willing to take care of a customer like they should be Regards, [redacted]

1) Regarding Homeowner's Insurance Premium increase: The actual increase for the 2014 offer of renewal is $222.58 (24%) from $936.48 to $1159.06. Rates for Farmers Insurance are not set by the Agency offices. They are set by...

a filing from Farmers Insurance with the State of Colorado Insurance Commissioner. The increase In premium for Farmers Insurance customers in Colorado was caused by the losses incurred In protecting homeowner's the past multiple years with such Natural Disasters as Hail Storms and Forest Fires. This Information across the industry has been well documented in the media. The additional 'cause of rate increases in 2014 was triggered by the State Legislatures passage last year of HB13-1225 which took effect.January 1, 2014 and mandated certain additional coverages to be included in all home policies Issued in the State of Colorado. 
2) Regarding coverages on his policies; I believe that [redacted] is referring to his conversation with our office on February 13, 2014 when he stated that he did not want to have rental car reimbursement coverage on his Silverado and he did not want to have towing coverage on his Kia, I did call that date as requested by [redacted] and I left voice messages at both 9:51am and 10,49am asking for a call back so that we could discuss the matter. The towing coverage was included an the Kia when that vehicle was added to his policies on November 14, 2012 replacing a 2003 BMW which had towing coverage and based on a request by [redacted] to agency staff member Jennifer Hultgren that the same coverage be on the Kia as were on the BMW which did have towing coverage, Regarding rental car coverage, this became an issue in March of 2012 when Link's,car was damaged in a tornado in Nebraska, When Link learned at that time that he did not have rental car coverage on the damaged vehicle, we had a discussion about the fact that my staff does not do things correctly and that he had specifically requested rental car coverage. To assist with this matter, I dealt directly with Enterprise Rental in Fort Collins and,made arrangements for them to assist In this matter with providing a rental car. Additionally, rental car coverage was added and used again by [redacted] in November which his BMW was lost in a fire and the rental car coverage was included in that loss. 
3) [redacted] makes a statement in his complaint that he is without any claims. In fact, since 2009, Farmers Insurance has paid $33,145 in claims to the [redacted]s for 5 separate losses. 
4) The [redacted]s were last invited for a policy review in August 2012. I used an appointment setting company named Intouch at that time to schedule policy review appointments. When they were unable to schedule the appointment at that time I automatically rolled the appointment date ahead two years which Is the standard appointment schedule to invite customers for policy reviews, Certainly if he would like an appointment at an earlier time that can be arranged. 
Based on the facts which I have documented about ongoing conversations with link, I do not believe that an apology for any wrong doings Is appropriate because I do not see that any of the Issues were in fact problems caused by the agency. I will be happy to set a policy review appointment with [redacted] if he chooses to; however, I do not see that any refunds will be resulting from that appointment.
