We are sorry that *** *** is unhappy. As the body shop, we do not control the repair estimate. That is controlled by his Insurance Company. The damages are written by the insurance and repaired according to the estimate by the body shop. The insurance
company controls what cars they deem fixable or not. The damage to his *** truck was to the left side of the vehicle. The wheel was replaced with a new wheelWe do not make a practice of switching parts to the reverse side, we have invoices to substantiate that we replaced the wheel. He may have unknowingly had damage on one of the other wheels.I am confused by his statement about the rocker not being sanded. Nothing is ever painted here without being sanded, whether it is a repaired panel or just for a color blend.
The alignment on the estimate was written by the adjuster from ***. It was not something that we charged the insurance for. We send the alignments to a sublet vendor. Since *** *** was not satisfied with the original results, we sent the car back to the shop for a re-alignment. Since the alignment measurements did not indicate anything out of alignment, it indicated that the frame was okay. Unfortunately, after years, it is to have wear and tear on the tires
We did not have any further conversation with *** ***, so we were unaware of any other concerns. We tried to help him by not charging him his $deductibleAnd again, to repeat, we do not make the decision of what is repaired on the vehicle and when it is totaled. That is mandated by the insurance carrier. We are just here to provide a service of fixing repairable vehicles
