We do have a strict No Refund Policy as do all the motels in Lake George that we know ofWe, unlike most motels have one of a kind rooms and can not re- rent that exact room last minute Mr [redacted] reserved his log cabin knowing of our cancellation policy through booking.com We re sorry that his mother is ill and that he can't find time to come back to use the credit that we graciously offered him even though we did not have to We were being kind to let him do that He was pleased that we offered him that when he came to the office to tell us that he needed to leave

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regards,*** *** When I went to the office and told them I had to leave I had my two young kids with me and just received the call about my mom I wasn't going to stand there and make a scene in front of my kids as they were getting upset about there grandmother I wasn't happy about the offer but I didn't have the time to argue about it at that moment and was more worried about my mom Stating you Having a no refund policy for someone who stayed for all of mins and had a family emergency isn't right at all I'm sure the other hotels as stated would understand the situation and would be willing to compromise and not keep saying giving credit I would be willing to split the charged amount To be fair for both sides but you can't say after receiving that kind of phone call and standing in the office with kids that is fair to be saying to bad refund

We have a No cancellation policy because we have one of a kind rooms Because we held it for you, we couldn't rent it to anyone else When you left ...it stayed empty because it was too late to rent it again You knew that there was a No Refund policy when you reserved I cannot give everyone their money back when thy have issues It happens more than you can imagine I have offered for you to come back at a later date and I am willing to extend that time through next June (excluding the Americade week) if you would like

They booked a room through *** knowing that it was non-refundable on Aug 6th for Aug - They called me to cancel on Aug13th and I just told them that their reservation was non-refundable I said that if I could re-rent it that I wouldn't charge them but that it was
unlikely since I still had availability for those dates They said that their Mom was going to come to their house to watch their dogs and now she can't They can either find someone else or take them to a kennel I have units and of them are different so it is hard to re-rent a particular unit for particular days last minutethat is why we have non-refundable roomsNo one wants to lose money I can't afford to hold rooms for people that aren't going to pay for them These people have left terrible reviews on every website that they could find telling them that I was heartless I am not heartlessI just can't afford to refund everyone that wants to cancel Whenever the forecast has rain in itpeople call with excuses to cancel Since I don't give refundsthey come anyway and most of the time the weather is beautiful
