My daughter (as a dependent in college) had braces put on while she was still insured and in Cranbrook. We knew that after college she would be moving away and discussed this with the orthodontist. We were told that they would assess where she was at in her treatment and reimburse us to continue treatment wherever she ended up. In November of 2019, she moved to *** and now the orthodontist is no longer with that office and the office is not willing to reimburse us enough for her to finish her treatment. She is no longer a dependent and no longer has dental coverage. They have received almost the entire payment and the only suggestion that they offer is that she needs to drive 10 hours every month to finish treatment in their office.
This letter is to let you know that after a secondary review of this file, by the area director and the doctors involved, it was decided to refund the customer the amount she was asking for. All pertinent information has been forwarded to the accounting department, and they will be processing the refund as quickly as they can, under these Covid circumstances.
We trust that this will enable you to close this file.
