On 10/31/13, [redacted] delivered shutters, which resulted in a very bad paint job. Also caused damage to the front paid of shutters, which can't be smoothed out or corrected. Desired SettlementTo be reimbursed the cost of the shutters. I plan on going to small claims court as well, Attorney General(consumer protections)Insurance carrier information.Business Response [redacted] hired me in early October to paint her shutters. When I arrived at her residence to discuss the work, the shutters were outdoors, off the home, and leaning against a fence. They appeared to have been there for some time and were quite dirty. She had just had her home fitted with vinyl siding, and she acknowledged to me that they were in need of cleaning. She also showed me one shutter which she had taken to an automotive collision shop and had painted. I explained that my paint finish would not produce such a glossy/fine finish and she agreed that would be better. I painted the shutters using an airless professional sprayer and repeated the process twice for a very professional finish. Once I had completed the work I attempted to deliver them twice, but [redacted] refused, saying she had no place to store them. I kept them safely for her in my garage for the first week and then in my basement for the next week and waited until the home was ready for the shutters to be installed by the vinyl siding contractor. The job was completed in a timely manner and to the exact specifications we had discussed.Consumer Response The response is completely not true. I'm requesting they provide me with the business' insurance liability carrier information, and/or he can refund me directly for the cost of replacing the aluminum shutters. Otherwise, I will proceed with legal action. Business Response I stand behind my previous response. The job was completed in a professional manner and according to the job request. Consumer Response I have been totally dissatisfied not only with the end results of the shutters but also of the businesses efforts to remedy the damages caused. I will continue to take further actions.
