Parents came to the Clinic on 5/22/and discussed concerns with the Fit of the DOC BandThe Clinician contacted the Regional Manager who reviewed and determined the Fit to be appropriateThe case was then reviewed by the Corporate Clinical Manger who agreed that the Band Fit
was appropriate and therefore did not need to be remade. Per the complaint the parent feel s that “measurements were taken incorrectly” and that the band doesn’t fit correctlyThey have a friend who has a child in the band and that baby’s band fits very differentlyIt was explained to the parent that every head shape is different therefore every Band Fits differently.The band is not made from measurements; the Band is made from a 3D image,electronically sent to the corporate office for processing. Each Band is custom made through proprietary software that is designed for this diagnosis. Benjamins’ Band was made specifically for his head shape and was made correctly. There were no errors in the software or manufacturing of his custom device. Additionally the Design Team reviewed modification patterns and they were also found to be correctThe case was discussed with Sandy B*** Patient Relations Manager and Amy Culpert Regional Clinical Manger and it was decided that a refund would be appropriate as the parents were unwilling to trust the Company in their assessment of the Fit. The decision was made to not remake the Band as all individuals (Clinician, Regional Manager, Director of Clinical Care, and Corporate Design Team) felt the Fit of the Band was correct. The Clinician called the father on 5/22/and left message for dad because she felt he left the clinic unhappyTo date Father has not returned two message the CompanyA credit card refund in the amount of $was made on 5/23/a check will be issued for the remaining $300. Review: My son had a Doc band through Cranial Technologies. My insurance covered $1,402.50 and I paid $580.00 out of pocket for the Doc band. He completed his time with the Doc band two months ago and now Cranial Technologies is demanding $17.50, due to their accounting error! They need to wipe out that $17.50 and not collect it from me because of their error. They have received over $2,000 from just me and now they are demanding more?! They need to write that off and leave me alone.Desired Settlement: I want Cranial Technologies to write of the alleged $17.50 they claim I owe and for them to stop their collection attempts. My credit report better remain untouched as well.
