Dear [redacted]:
Thank you for your letter dated 9/8/2015 regarding my business, Crate & Freight. I always welcome input and feed-back, as I value the customers' opinions.  I was distressed to read the complaint filed against Crate & Freight because I...

strive to give the best customer service possible.Complainant's grandfather clock was at my business to be packed and shipped. Crate & Freight has built wooden packing crates, lined with layers of [redacted] and shipped numerous grandfather clocks in the past. Complainant's clock was given this same amount of detail when packed. The clock arrived at the desired location.Complainant called Crate & Freight after receiving the clock stating that it was damaged. I was told that Complainant thought the trucking company was at fault since the clock was packed well. I advised Complainant to get an estimate for repair. I told Claimant that the long-distance trucking company may not pay for any damages, and if this was the case, I would help her with that. Two days later after researching where Complainant's trucking company claim should be filed, I called and left a message with the e-mail address to file the damage claim. Complainant did not return my call or contact me.A week later, I called Complainant and left a message. Again, no response.A month later, Complainant called, and again complained about damages. Complainant still had not filed the damage claim. I again gave the e-mail address of the shipper and said steps needed to be followed in the pursuit of claim. Complainant replied an ill father kept this claim furthest from Complainant's mind.At this time, I said to please file the claim to start things off, and I would help from there. Complainant then became irate, yelling names and saying the Revdex.com would be contacted. Complainant then hung up the phone on me.At the close of business that day, I called Complainant to ask for a call-back to discuss the matter rationally. Complainant never contacted Crate & Freight again.Shortly there-after, I received the Revdex.com letter of complaint.Because I always want to please the customer, I am willing to pay half of Complainant's proposed cost of damages. If Complainant then wants to file the claim with the long distance shipper, I would be willing to help Complainant in the pursuit of that claim.Respectfully,
John B.
