lag screws for installations and are long enough for % of the work we performThis install was over drywall and we can not see the studs or if it was a solid headerThe screws may have been short or we missed the center of the stud, either way it failed and caused damage to his door sectionWe have replaced the damaged door section, repaired the installation of the door opener and have offered to paint the section that was replacedI told Mr*** to supply us with the paint to make sure it matches his house paintHe is now worried that the paint won't match the rest of his door and he has not even tried it yet.His door is painted the same as his whole houseIf the door doesn't match his house is he going to want his whole house painted so it all matches? We are not an insurance company and are not responsible to make his life whole againAgain, we have offered to fix any damage we caused and have done everything except paint the section we replaced we he now told us not to do, so I now consider this job closed with our responsibility completed.Steve L***Crawford Garage Doors, Inc

I was hoping to add a final clarification in response to the business' replyHowever, I was out of town at a conference until today. Steve stated that I was demanding he paint the whole garage door, and not just the panel he replaced due to faulty workmanship on installationNot trueI agreed to have him or his workers paint just the panel, but he refused to agree to reimburse me the cost of paint and suppliesThis is the issueIt is beyond me that he would concur that installation mistakes were made, thus having to replace the door section, yet not be prepared to put the section back to the same shape it was in prior to Crawford entering the pictureNow, I have a brown garage door with an ugly white panel at the topI didn't ask for any of this mess.As dissatisfied as I am, I am prepared to purchase the paint and supplies if he will send someone out to do the painting, as he originally offeredI believe this is a more than reasonable solution to close out a problem that was no fault of mine.Thank you for your time.Sincerely,*** ***
