Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
Hi Better Business, my complaint has not been resolvedThe owner Richard H*** never came out to look @ my problem? The main issue the sump pump exit problem was attached to a downspot that drains into my crawl space? The water was never exiting it was swirling around in my crawl spaceMarcel told me he would come out when the alarm went offHe never has or never will? The main issue was some plumbing problems that I asked Marcel to show meIn the beginning I didnt go in the crawl spaceLater I did.Since I said anything to complain about Marcel he never come back or respondedAll I want is the insulation installed & my pipes insulatedIt never happenedHow do I resolve a situation where the owner will not come & look at the problemRichard stated "We have done everything we are obligated to do in this relationship? He has put me off & had me sign a contract so he could no longer deal with me? Is that solving the real problem? I need Crawl Space Cleaning Pros to be accountable for all the work & materials they removed from my crawl space.
Sincerely,*** ***

We signed a contract with [redacted] on 02/12/2016.
The original job was created and scheduled for 2/18/16. Once the crawl space was cleaned out and the  (1) sump pump installed, it was discovered that [redacted] had a plumbing issue She was then told that the plumbing work had to be completed...

before we could move forward. We were then placed on hold and told that she would contact when the plumbing work had been completed. Marcel, the Estimator, tried on several occasions, to call and email [redacted]. She would not respond. Marcel then left her a voicemail giving her until August 4, 2016 to respond and schedule the work or the contract for the insulation would need to be rebid. [redacted] was also informed that she was responsible for hiring an electrician for the power of the sump pump, which she did not do.
When [redacted] did reply, she stated she had gone with another insulation company and had the insulation work completed by them. She then stated she was canceling the contract with us.  Once we were informed of that information, we did not feel comfortable going back after another company had completed the insulation. [redacted] was sent a notice regarding an outstanding balance of $904.98. This is for the total discounts and PSE rebates plus tax, had she followed through on the entire signed and binding contract. She disregarded that invoice. She was sent a total of 3 notices. The final being mailed on 10/12/2016. [redacted] was in contact with Richard, the owner of Crawl Space, as she had questions regarding the insulation that was installed by the other company. She was not sure of the quality and asked Richard if he would be willing to be a consultant and witness as she was not happy with the other company or their product and so she was thinking of suing them and wanted Richard to help her.
In early November, [redacted] again contacted Richard, the owner, as her alarm was going off on her Sump Pump. Richard, in trying to determine the issue asked her if there was power to the pump? He asked her to plug something into the outlet and make sure it is working. He then explained, that he could not come out and do any work, as there was still on outstanding balance on her account. At that time, she paid the outstanding $904.98 balance. Richard then received a text message from [redacted] stating that her son had come by and it was the power. The pumpS were working just fine. We only installed one pump and are responsible for just the one pump. When we were installing the pump, the original pump was running into a creek. We had to find an alternative and found drain that ran out through the retaining wall into the street. We tested it and it was moving the water just fine.
As to her complaint of the inappropriate insulation being used, her home has 2x6's and 8" joists, due to the time frame the home was built.  R-30 could not be used. It would be required that we use R-25 16", as well as the R21-57"oc in main portion. Which is the maximum R value that can be achieved with the size of her joist.
We have repeatedly tried to work with Ms [redacted] and at this point, and have done everything we are obligated to do in this relationship.
Attached you will find text messages, emails and the invoices for [redacted].
