Review: Had crawlspace encapsulated by this company and noticed deficiencies in workmanship and have been unable to contact the company or owner for 6 weeksDesired Settlement: would like to speak to the owner or representative about the deficiencies I found. They have also failed to return requests from 2 friends who had work done by them. I don't know if they are still in business or something tragic has happened to the owner.

Review: When I initially contacted CrawlSpace Ace (CSA) the lady (owner's wife) stated that they were perfectionists in their work. I requested a visit and a quote. I paid a $1,600 down payment (check).

Chris (Owner) came back with his crew to do the work. on 1/8/16 he stated that he was finishing up with the project and requested that I pay cash for the balance so that he could pay his workers. he offered a $100 discount. since the work was not complete I did not pay the full balance. he returned 1/9/16 to complete the project. he did not complete it that day but requested another cash payment so that he could pay his workers. at this time I have paid $1,600 ck and $1,400 cash. he stated that he would be back to complete the project. he also stated that he would provide two crawlspace doors. he has not returned and has not returned calls or text messages over the past 3 months.

I have been in the crawl space and note the following:

1. rigid insulation not installed on all walls (two of the walls have no insulation)

2. plastic liner not attached to masonry in all locations

3. plastic liner not taped in all locationsDesired Settlement: I would like a refund sufficient to complete the project

Review: Crawl Space Ace encapsulated my crawl space in May of 2014. As part of the contract, Chris (the owner) was to come back after one year to inspect the job and make sure everything still looked good, and make any repairs or adjustments as necessary.

It has been almost 2 years now, and my crawl space has not been inspected, after 6-7 failed attempts to contact them over a 2 month time period. I have sent 3-4 emails, and left 2-3 phone messages, and my emails and phone calls have been completely ignored. They do not answer their phone (they let it go to voice mail every time), so there is no way to speak directly with anyone. Zero communication, and an unfulfilled contract.

Before my bad experience, I made a regretful decision and recommended Crawl Space Ace to my neighbor that needed to have hers done. She called them and contracted them to do the job. Weeks later she called me extremely concerned because they had taken a half deposit, had not even started the job, and they would not return her calls, text messages, or emails. She had been trying to contact them for a few weeks, and no response back. She was certain she had been scammed. She finally drove to their office and was luckily able to speak with someone. The owner contacted her, but no work has been started yet (over a month after her deposit was taken).

My issue here is not with the work that was performed, but with the lack of communication, and blatant disregard of my phone calls and emails concerning the unfulfilled contract. I would have expected to be treated better than this, especially after referring them business.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded $350 so I can call another company to come out to inspect the work, and make any necessary repairs.

Very impressed with responsiveness and quality of work. I know from past experience that it is difficult to find responsible and considerate contractors for this type of work. Crawlspace Ace has exceeded my expectations.

My experience with Crawl Space Ace was outstanding. I carefully checked out companies that offered crawl space encapsulation. I received several positive comments about this Company. The work was outstanding and the finished product could not be better. I have had several workmen in the crawl space since its completion and they all rave about the quality of the job. One said that he had never seen a better encapsulation product. I have found that our utility bill has definitely come down and the crawl space is so clean and professional looking. I am totally satisfied with this job and it is even better than I initially expected. The crawl space is heated and cooled.

I think that this will pay for itself in efficiency and resale value. Great experience and wonderful people that really value Customer Satisfaction.

I recently had these guys do some work at my house, involving the addition of new insulation and a vapor barrier. I was amazed by the quality of work they did, in such a short amount of time! [redacted] was very flexible and accomodating with scheduling and answered a lot of questions for me. I would use Crawlspace Ace again in the future and would certainly recommend them to anyone.
