Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2015/11/11) */
Ms. [redacted] has misrepresented the information given in her statement. Her contract was for $55,091, and it clearly states in the contract that we are not responsible for any landscaping, lighting, etc., and that the Homeowner is responsible to...

move any landscaping, etc. prior to our work beginning. Furthermore, Ms. [redacted] did a complete a walkthrough with our project Supervisor and SIGNED OFF on the project and gave us the final payment.
Ms. [redacted] came back 2 months after the sign off that she had "broken landscape lights". [redacted] (our supervisor) did go to her property to look at the lights, and verified that they were not in our scope and we are not responsible. In fact, the lights were most likely broken by the General Contractor that came in after us to complete here basement finish.
This was also turned over to our attorney and we have not heard another word from her.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2015/11/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First, I would never agree to let a contractor break my items and in return take responsibility. Second, it is not possible to move wired landscape lighting. It is not that difficult to be careful and avoid damage. Not to mention, they broke the window itself and the window well and lost our security sensor. This was just negligent. Furthermore, I NEVER signed off on the project. The second phase of the project was still occurring when [redacted]'s assigned manager and contact went over the broken items with me. The manager even contacted [redacted] to see why he was being unfair and not repairing or taking responsibility for the broken items. Lastly, I am absolutely appalled that this company lied and said that [redacted] said the scope was not the company's responsibility. He DID verify the damage and went into a conversation how I should be pursuing this with his company and that they should pay. 2 other lights were the responsibility of the 2nd phase contractor but all the items I have listed in my original complaint were broken by Crawlspaces 2 Basements and they should take responsibility. Since then I have been informed that [redacted] is a shady business man, is cheap and has, and still is, cheating other contractors and people out of money he owes to them. This kind of business behavior should have a consequence and I will not rest until I get reimbursed back for my damage and let anybody I can know about what kind of business practice you can expect from [redacted] and Crawlspaces 2 Basements. They should be ashamed of themselves and start changing their ways. The lies, shadiness and bad morals and work ethic needs to stop.

Hi Lori,
We have not had any response from Ms. [redacted] (or any attorney that she may have hired) regarding her claim). We did speak with our attorney, and if Ms. [redacted] proceeds with any type of suit, we will go to court and also file a defamation claim against her.
I would like to make some facts very clear: Ms. [redacted] is writing complaints and derogatory information to the Revdex.com and Yelp. Ms. [redacted] is stating that we busted her lights, windows and well cover. We did send our Supervisor out to look at the "damages", and it was not caused by us, but by the General Contractor. She started this complaint 2 months after we closed out the project and she paid us in full. If there was an issue, she should have said something before she signed off and paid us (she also then sent us a nice email thanking us for the work).
Her information varies between the two complaints, contract prices, the cost of the "damages", etc.
Here are the facts:
1. Her Contract: $55,091.66 (she has stated $90k and $101K)
2. Yes, there were a few delays, as stated in the emails, there was an entire week of rain, the Structural Floor contractor pushed back his schedule (this is out of our control) 3. Initially she sent us an email stating $1060 for the lights, in her complaints she is now stating over $4k.
4. [redacted], our Supervisor NEVER stated to her that we would fix or repair anything. He went out there to survey the situation. The area where the lights are broken are not in an area that we were working in (however, her finish contractor is working in this area) 5. It clearly states in the contract that the Homeowner is responsible to remove/replace before construction any landscaping, personal items, etc.
6. If there were issues at the final walkthrough, she should have said something and not paid us the final payment. She came back 2 months later, while work is being done by her finish contractor (who we suspect did the damages).
(we are currently working on the Yelp comment that Ms. [redacted] posted and that will be removed also)
Lori, I have attached her proposal, contract, the nice email she sent to our Project Manager thanking us for the job well done, and a copy of the final invoice and payment (payment of the final invoice constitutes the sign off of the project).
I would like this complaint against us dismissed and not show up on the Revdex.com website.
Please call me if you have any questions, or I can provide further information. Thank you.

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2015/12/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First, I have had the Araphaoe Sheriff's office try to serve him court paperwork twice and he keeps dodging it. We have a court date scheduled for Dec 18th and [redacted] hasn't been served. I have been told this is typical behavior for him. Second, nothing I have written has been untrue in anyway. Not to mention, there are SEVERAL other complaints about him and his company on-line and on various other internet reviewing sites. His business practices are questionable and he should be held accountable. None of us deserve to endure his shady practices and people should be warned. I am not the only one and I am not a person who wishes his bad business practices upon anybody else so I feel it is my duty to share this information and it is your duty to fully investigate his practices and his lies. I paid in total $103k for the entire project. His portion of the project was over $83k. He is neglecting to share that he paid sub-contractors but the entire money went to him. His crew DID do $4k worth of damage and [redacted] DID stand right in front of me and admitted it. He also said that, "of course I should be asking for compensation, he would." He verified to my face that he remembers entering and exiting through the window and saw how the damage did occur. I didn't realize the window well was damaged until [redacted] and I were looking at it together. He noted that it was damaged too. That means that I had broken landscape lights, a broken window, broken window security sensor and now a window well that was damaged so the custom cover wouldn't fit any longer. To replace all of those items equals $4k. I even provided [redacted] with a less expensive alternative to keep his costs down if he just had his own contractors do the work. Then all he would have been out is the actual materials. But instead I got an e-mail saying they weren't responsible for the damages at all. [redacted] is right, this is simple - his crew damaged my property during the construction and he should be held responsible. Knowing how he is treating this case should be a warning. Would you personally hire a contractor knowing that if his crew damages something working in your home that he will not take responsibility and pay for it? Nobody would which is why you should take this complaint seriously and there should be consequences to his actions. This complaint should, with out a doubt, show up on your website.
