Over charging customers
I purchased a bedroom set for $1800 from crazy deals. I have been paying biweekly since May 2019. On April 2,2020 it showed online a balance of $1727.75 then on June 2, 2020 it showed a balance of $900. I went online today and it shows $1187. I called Merchants Preffered and the gentlemen on the phone tells me it's a clearance payoff and told me he doesn't know where I got the $900 from because I actually owe $1500 on my bedroom set. The actual receipt I got from Crazy Deals shows a total on the furniture of $1970.25. So Merchants preferred is charging over $3600 in fees. The contract states I did not have a disposal fee but later states they charged me one. My original receipt shows $1970 and they sold this account to Merchants preffered and it is now costing me over $5600.
I wanna know the truth as to why my online account went from $900 to $1187 to the gentlemen on the phone telling me I still owe over $1500
This complaint is about the finance company Merchants Preferred. The customer signed all paperwork in the store, and our staff goes over all payments thoroughly. This complaint should be on Merchants Preferred page, not ours. Crazy Deals does NOT take payments directly from the customer, nor can we open any information about the customers account once furniture has been delivered, as we use a third party finance company. We purchased a sectional sofa the guy was anxious to deliver it asap, we asked him many times what the payment was going to be, he said 208.00 when the finance company deducted the payment it was 222.00 I contacted the company *** and they told me there was tax as well. Which I wasnt happy about well come to find out another 222.00 was deducted another 9 days later, I contacted the finance compsny again, they told me the payments were 222.00 twice per month. We live on a fixed income and we would never agree to these terms. We feel we were scammed by this company. I hope you can help us
