An 18% tip was included in the tip. Didn't write in an additional tip. The receipt was tampered with and someone wrote in an additional $30 tip.Dinner on Thursday, January 1. Server: [redacted]. I went to the restaurant with a group of 11 people. Therefore, an automatic 18% tip was included in everyone's bill. Because of that, I didn't write in an additional tip. I should have marked out the tip section, but I didn't and someone wrote in a $30 tip on top of my $29 bill. I have my original receipt. It should have raised a red flag as most people don't leave a tip that is more than 100% of the bill total. I called the restaurant the next day after I had looked at my bank statement. They said they couldn't fix it over the phone but to come in on Saturday, January 3 around lunch which I did. When I got there [redacted] had mysteriously just left 5 minutes before to go to the emergency room. It just so happened that there wasn't a manager on duty, so the hostess said nobody could help me and I should come back again. I called back in a few hours later, and the hostess said the building had been evacuated due to an emergency which is strange since she was still there and able to answer the phone. All I want is my $30 back. Desired SettlementI just want my $30 back. I don't mind to pay the actual $29 of my bill, but they charged me $59.
