Thank you

Review: I purchased a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer from Crazy [redacted]'s on 8/27/2013. On the date of the purchase, I was told by [redacted], one of the sales representatives, that there were no issues with this vehicle. I was also told this by [redacted] the night before when I had looked at the vehicle. The only issue I could see was that the display was in Arabic instead of English. I was told by [redacted] that this could be changed by looking at the instructions in the owner's manual. There was also a lot of rust that was painted over. However, I knew this before I bought the vehicle. I was not told of any other issues, nor did I detect any on the short test drive I took. The vehicle did not have a disclosure statement at all, much less saying that there was an issue with the vehicle. I did have a friend who knows about cars come and take a look at the vehicle. [redacted] hovered around us while he was looking over the vehicle. [redacted] made us to feel like we were being distrusting of him. He said that if there was anything wrong with the vehicle we could just return it or he would fix it. We told him that we just wanted to make sure that the rust was not going to be an issue. My friend did not test drive the vehicle, as it seemed like he was not welcome there. I decided to buy the vehicle, as it was a good price since there were no issues besides the rust and display. I drove the vehicle home that night and parked the vehicle. The next day, when I used the vehicle, the check engine light came on. I also noticed a funny sound coming from the vehicle. After having someone look at the vehicle on Saturday, it was determined that the brakes on the vehicle were no good, and that they had damaged the rotors. The rotors and brake pads needed to be replaced. I was told that this type of damaged happens over time, and that it would have to have been known by the dealer at the time of the sale. On Monday I called Crazy [redacted]'s several times and did not get ahold of anyone. I figured they were closed for the Labor Day Holiday. On Tuesday I attempted to call Crazy [redacted]'s several times again. I tried to leave a message on the machine, but I was unable to do so. My girlfriend stopped in at Crazy [redacted]'s with the vehicle to report the issues Tuesday at 4:45 pm. She informed [redacted] that there was no owner's manual in the vehicle to change the display language and about the issue with the brakes and check engine light. [redacted] gave her a business card and told her to have me call her after 9:00 am the next day because it was too late in the evening to do anything about it that night. She also told my girlfriend that she could maybe have someone look at the display to see if they could get it in English. I called [redacted] this morning, and I was informed that they were not going to fix the car. [redacted] said I needed to repair the brakes and rotors myself, and they would not compensate me for my repairs. I feel that it is Crazy [redacted]'s responsibility to pay for these repairs, as this issue was not disclosed to me when I purchased the vehicle. This damage was not something that occurred in the couple of days that I drive the vehicle. The check engine light has since gone off, but I am also afraid that there may be more problems than I originally thought that may have not been disclosed. Also, I was told by [redacted] that if there were issues I could return the vehicle or they would fix it. I think they should honor their word. I feel like I was knowingly given a damaged vehicle, but told that there were no issues. I feel deceived.Desired Settlement: I would like for Crazy [redacted]'s to repair or pay for the repairs on the brakes and rotors for the 2003 Chevy Trailblazer I purchased from them. I was told the car was in perfect working condition, and this damage was not disclosed to me. I want Crazy [redacted] to honor their word to fix my vehicle, as I have no desire to return it since I sold them my previous vehicle.

Response:

In response to a complaint dateed 09/04/2013, ([redacted]). I,D. # [redacted] This complaint has been resolved. The customer had a stone lodged in between his brake pad and rotor this caused the brakes to preform improperly, We helped him fix the problem and he is very happy. as for the check engine light it has gone out, he did not tighten his gas cap and that caused the light to come on.
