CRC Concrete Raising Corporation

CRC had filled in a void under my side porch and had raised part of it to pitch it away from the house. The workers left without telling me they were finished so I could inspect the work. I had to call [redacted] the owner, because it was not done well. There were big gaps and the work looked sloppy. Then the material started brushing away, like sand, causing bigger gaps. [redacted] came to do a cement patch on areas but there are still voids between the house and cement! They were actually the most expensive quote out of three companies I received but I still went with them because I was convinced they could do the best job with the best material. I wish I had gone with a different company!!!

I had CRC do some work to even several sections of my driveway and sidewalk, after getting an estimate from them and two other contractors. After the work was completed, I saw that it had created a bigger problem. My patio, where it abuts the driveway was now about 1-1/2 inches below the level of the driveway. When I called about it, the salesman, [redacted], came out to look and stated that he had been too conservative with his first estimate, and that those now-lower sections should have been too. (They had not been mentioned on any of first three estimates I got.) [redacted] arranged to have the situation corrected, which caused a delay of several weeks in another patio related project I was doing. After the work was done I was billed for $395. I called [redacted] to say that I didn't feel I should be responsible for the full amount, because by his own admission, this was his fault AND had the original estimate included this additional amount,I likely would have chosen a different contractor. The company did ultimately take another $70 off the bill, their standard discount for paying on time, which I had done with the first bill. While I was happy with the work once it was completed, I do not feel good about this company. It feels like they pulled a "bait & switch" here, and I only grudgingly paid the second bill in order to avoid further issues with them and because I pay my bills. I can't recommend this company.

What was written in the proposal to be done by CRC was not done and the consultant from CRC even agreed they did not do what they said they would. They said they would call me back and let me know what they would do. To this day I have not heard from them.
