My response is very simple. [redacted] received his goods over a year ago. He returned a few pieces to us to redo about a month ago. When we received the garments to be redone, it was very evident that the...

garments were worn. There was paper, money (a quarter), a cigarette lighter, and used tissues in the pockets. We cannot guarantee work received by [redacted] from our company over a year ago, none the less that has been used for a full year (two winters). He as well has signed a "Certificate of Satisfaction", stating that we have done the job to his satisfaction, over a year ago. I will not justify thee claims any further.

Review: We used CRDN of Five Boroughs after a fire in our apt. We complained about 5 pieces of clothing but CRDN did nothing to help us. First it was 2 dresses: 1 missing a cloth broach, another w/a misshapen rhinestone pattern. CRDN ignored our complaints, 1st filed in Jan/Feb 2013. We dropped the matter with everything else going on (2 kids under 5, both of us work) but when the temperatures hit single digits, we dug out our winter clothes, still in dry cleaner plastic. The down in my jacket had all accumulated in a corner. My wife wore a fur-collar long fabric coat for the 1st time since the fire and, on the subway, we see the collar has ripped/pulled away from the lining. A 2nd fabric coat had shrunk. All 3 unwearable. Accepting responsibility, CRDN picks up the items. I phone [redacted], my contact there, but it was 10 days of Ill call you later. Finally I talk with [redacted]. Thats when things got unpleasant. He starts yelling about the matches/gloves they found the fur-collar coat. I try explaining but he continues screaming, calling me a liar and hanging up me. I phoned back immediately but he hung up on me again. That set a pattern: Me and the wife would be hung up on at least ten times over the next several days as we tried to talk to either [redacted] or [redacted]. When our items were eventually returned to us, my down coat (supposedly an easy fix) still had all the down stuffed in a corner. Threads were still dangling from the broach-less dress, the rhinestones still in their misshapen pattern on the other dress. The fur-collar coat was the only changed itemour clothes had been rolled up in a ball and given back to us in a cardboard box. In CRDNs handling, the collar had ripped/pulled away further. [redacted] would tell me in an email message what I suppose hell tell the Revdex.com: It has been almost a years time and company policy is, we are not responsible that long. Thats a strange thing to tell us after theyve picked up our items and had them for more than two weeks.Desired Settlement: Mainly I'm writing to warn others about this company. I've put in a similar complaint with Travelers given CRDN of Five Boroughs is on their recommended list. But, yes, compensation for ruined items would be nice-- to cover the dry cleaning/tailoring costs and to replace ruined items.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here] I address all of this in my original letter. We complained immediately about a pair of dresses that came back damaged but our repeated phone calls and emails went ignored. We finally gave up given how overwhelming life was with 2 little kids and the fire damage to our apartment that had prompted us to use [redacted]'s services. When winter hit (it wasn't "more than a year," as he wrote), we took our jackets out of the original plastic for the first time and noticed damage to three of them. He writes that our clothes had been obviously worn in the interim but a single item had been worn: a fur-lined coat that my wife wore out exactly once, which is how we discovered the fur collar had been mangled by a machine. [redacted] makes claims about how I signed this or implies we were out of warranty but that begs the question of why he picked up the items for repair or why his person promised to do all they could do to fix things. Instead it was several weeks of feeling our clothes had been taken hostage in the middle of one of the worst winters in memory and a nastiness whenever I tried to find out what was going on. Which gets to my final point: [redacted] ignores the business practice that I found most in contrast with the values of the Revdex.com: rather than let me explain about the coat that had a few items in the pockets (but never a lighter--neither of us smokes or have even owned a lighter in our lives), he screamed at me and repeatedly hung up the phone rather than hearing me out. His number two did the same. Not a good way to run a business, in my view.

Thank you.
