Creating Comfort Outlet Reviews (15)

We purchased a living room set on 5/27/13 and are requesting for full refund. They do not issue refunds and apparently don't deliver furniture. This is the letter I sent them:I purchased a sofa, loveseat and recliner on May 27, 2013 and as of today, I have not received said merchandise despite the numerous inquiries that have been made regarding its status. Please be advised that it has been ten (10) weeks since I purchased said merchandise and I was informed at the time of purchase that I would receive my furniture within an estimated period of (2) to six (6) weeks.Due to your company's negligence and failure to produce the purchased merchandise, I am demanding a full refund in the amount of $1,600.00. I have already obtained furniture from another retailer due to your company's deceptive business practices and my monies should not be withheld from me as fault lies 100% on Creating Comfort Outlet. How can Creating Comfort Outlet legally run their business in this manner? Customers pay for their purchase, but never receive it? I have spoken with "[redacted]" and "[redacted]" over the past couple of weeks regarding this issue and have been provided with different information each time. During a recent conversation with [redacted], I requested to speak with the[redacted] of the company and he informed me that he was one (1) of the[redacted]s; I feel as though I am being misled each time I am speaking with a representative of Creating Comfort Outlet. I requested to speak with a [redacted] when my telephone calls initiated some time ago and I was never told that [redacted] was an[redacted], if in fact that is the case. Further, I was informed during a conversation with [redacted] that I would not be able to receive my refund at this time because Creating Comfort Outlet was having "financial issues;" that has nothing to do with the fact that my monies have been withheld for an excess of two (2) months. Please be advised that pursuant to the Federal Trade Commission, "if the merchant is unable to ship within the promised time, it must notify you by mail, telephone or email, give a revised shipping date and give you the chance to cancel for a full refund or accept the new shipping date. The merchant must also give some way to exercise the cancellation option for free. If the merchant cannot meet the revised shipping date, it must notify the customer again by mail, email or telephone and give a new shipping date or cancel the order and provide a refund. If the customer authorized a charge on a credit card account, the merchant must credit the account within one (1) billing cycle-not give credit toward another purchase. If the customer paid by cash or money order, the merchant must mail a refund within seven (7) working days." I would appreciate contact from someone from upper management regarding this matter as soon as possible. I have been more than patient in trying to accommodate for the lapse in time since the date of purchase. I have been forced to reschedule family gatherings as well as postpone upcoming houseguests since I do not have the furniture in question.I look forward to hearing from someone from your management team as soon as possible. I intend to forward my correspondence to the Attorney General's Office, the Revdex.com as well as to the 22News iTeam for further investigation unless I am provided with my refund. It is in the best interest of Creating Comfort Outlet to return the monies owed to me as the current circumstances are solely due to your company's negligence and deceptive business practices.Desired SettlementWe just want our money back. It has been 10 weeks and they still can't tell me what happened only that they cannot refund the money at this time due to finanacial issues that they are dealing with.

I put a three piece livingroom tables on layaway on 4/07/13 and paid them off on 4/23/13. I was told that it would be 6 to 8 weeks for them to arrive. I checked back with them at 6 weeks and they still weren't in. Now it is more than 8 weeks and I still don't have my furniture. They are hard to get a hold of no one answers their phones when you call and when I go into the store the clerks have no clue what I am talking about. The person I ask for is never there. I finally got him yesterday and he told me that the tables are back-ordered and they MIGHT be in by the 25th of this month, if not it could take another 4 weeks for them to arrive. I told him that if I don't get the tables by that the 25th then I want my money back. They don't return money I was told. Please help me get my money back.Thank you for your assistance with this matter.Product_Or_Service: 3pc Tables Account_Number:[redacted]Desired SettlementReturn of my money total $476.00Business' Initial Response I appreciate your time as well. In regards to [redacted]. We resolved this issue on Tuesday, June 25th. She had been patiently waiting for a 3 piece coffee table set model # T155-13 from [redacted] Furniture. Beyond our control this item had continued to be delayed. We resolved this issue by refunding [redacted] in full. Thank You,

Offered services not completed and closed down two locations without notification to the customers. On May 24 I put in a deposit for $500 to get a living room package that included a sofa, TV, and end tables. We upgraded with leather. We went back on June 4 and deposited another $500. The gentleman had told us that our order would have started to ship after we paid half. On June 10, I went to drop off 500 more and the store was completely empty. There was no notice on the doors or windows. Nothing was said to us the week before. I called the Springfield location and the gentleman we had talked to said that they had to move their stuff unexpectedly to a location two doors down. They said they would see us by appointment. I called various times and left messages and my number but they were never returned. We went to the Springfield location but they could not inform us on our order because they did not have our paperwork. Finally they opened the location in west Springfield. We explained how frustrated we were. The gentleman called us and said our order would be 4 to 7 weeks from when paid in full. We went back last week to the second west Springfield location which was closed as well with no notice or paperwork on the door explaining the situation. We called the Springfield branch and said we are not finishing paying off. We just want merchandise for the 1,000 we already put in and they are not working with us. Desired SettlementWe want merchandise for the amount we paid or our money back.

I have asked number of times for my $1,000 back. I was going to purchase furniture that cost $1,999 total and put $1,000 down. The total was $1,999 and I put down $1,000.I had to cancel the living room set and have been asking for my $1,000 back since March 2013. The receipt I have is dated 2-11-13 at 3:35:10pm. A number on the receipt is XXXXXXXXXXX. I paid via my debit card ending in [redacted]. Purchased and received a defective table. (x2) Unable to get issued resolved. When finally received replacement it to is damaged crushed corner. Contacted company early Feb/13 - [redacted] B. regarding dinning room table purchased that started to show wart like knots. Table to him sounded to be defective. He requested I send email regarding issues/later requested pictures to him to show proof to manufacturer to assist in helping obtain replacement. Said not to worry, he'll get it taken care of. In constant contact, sending and doing whatever was asked to help move issue along. Physically went to store and brother [redacted])copied my receipt again for info. Also dealt with brother [redacted] (a lot) when could not get [redacted]. Was always reassuring things will get taken care of and he would speak w/[redacted]. Days/Weeks went by with no call back on status and I would call again trying to make contact - even called to the West Springfield store where [redacted] would be and leave messages. On 4/25/13, finally received a call back from [redacted]-noted he was on phone with manufacturer. Again asked me for table description since came in two styles: pub and regular (I have regular). He needed to make sure b/c trying to get table shipped. Noted would follow up with me, but I did all the following up and was always speaking with [redacted]. On 5/21/13, [redacted] noted was having issues with customer service and mentioned to me that they were not doing much business with the manufacturer therefore the delays. On 5/24/13, [redacted] noted supplier/manufacturer had table in stock, but was having problem or issue shipping item and he was waiting for sales person to contact him. They(Creating Comfort) was working on figuring things out. Noted need a little more time with impending Holiday, give time to speak with manufacturer again within the coming week. Now it's July, several more calls/contact made. Finally, [redacted] spoke to my boyfriend said table was in on about 7/20/13 wanted us to pick up. Question why when delivery included in my order. [redacted] stated would get back to us. Thursday 7/25/13 - called they were delivering. Made delivery with a quick peek of table, but never removing box. When delivery guys left, boyfriend went to further open box (not fully removing it) to put table together and noted corner of table crushed. Immediately called delivery drivers to tell them of the discovery and if they could come back and get it, it was no good . Noted they return to pick up and never did. Friday 7/26/13 after work, went to store, [redacted] looked shocked to see me and boyfriend. We had what I thought was a very heartfelt conversation about the disappointment after waiting so long to resolve this issue. He noted he too was disappointed for us and wanted to make things right - suggested would send someone out to see if maybe they could fix the brand new table received (I do not think it can be repaired as it has a crushed corner). We noted would like resolution of some sort, even perhaps a refund if could not resolve issue. I now have two defective/damage tables in my dinning room. He said let him check some things out and promised to call Monday. Well, we finally called today Wednesday 7/31/13 and [redacted] told my boyfriend - well he signed saying table ok and boyfriend noted he also called immediately to let them know there was a problem before the drivers was off our street. Again now just with, "well I will see what I can do" and the waiting game. I spent $1830.00 cash with Creating Comfort and I do not feel I have gotten what my money was spent on. They certainly had no problem taking it. I went out of my way and made two trips to the store due to missing items with my order on their behalf that they should have delivered originally. Note: their receipt says "they sell from reputable companies with excellent quality control. Although rare, defects may occur. The Manufacturer, Not Creating Comfort, will be held responsible". I feel they are still responsible for making sure the customer receives their product as they are to whom the customer deals with. Table info: 1320-DT, 54x54. Please help! Desired SettlementI would like to have the dinning room table that I purchased free of damage and defect. If they can not fulfill that obligation, then I think it's only fair they refund me.
