Review: My sister had purchased a $60 gift card for my birthday from Creations Salon. I go to Creations and make an apt to get a facial. I get my facial done and walk up to the front desk to pay for the service done. It's $45. I hand over my gift card and she keeps it. I told her there is more than $45 dollars on that card. She states that a new owner has now taken over Creations Salon and they will call me to come back tomorrow to get the remaining balance because they "didn't know what to do with gift cards". So I agreed to come back the following day. The next day comes I go in to get my refund and the store owner who's name is [redacted] states that the "other owner" is in Lake Tahoe and she wasn't going to come back until the following week. She reassured me that she will give me a call back as soon as she finds out what to do and that she will either refund me the cash or offer store credit. She gives me her business card and stated that she would rather have me text her than call her because she responds faster to texting, which I thought that's was completely unprofessional. I've tried calling and speaking to a owner or manager and the people at the front desk just say they will let her know I called and she will call me back as soon as she is done with her client. I'm really upset that this is the type of service that I received. This was a birthday gift given to me and I felt as though they were giving me the run around and avoiding me as much as possible.

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I'd like my $15 dollar refund on my gift card. I've been going to this place as well as my family and friends for over 10 years and this is the first time I've encountered this type of rude customer service and theft. There is no need to keep someone waiting to refund their money back to them on there gift card. If the Revdex.com can get a hold of them and send me the balance of $15 on my gift card to my address.

I am very sorry this happened to you [redacted]. I sold Creations Salon to AVB Salons on June 1, 2013. AVB agreed to take on the liability of the outstanding gift card debt. There was a bit of confusion the first few weeks under new management and the new owners were unable to verify the value of the gift cards. However I have checked with the new owners [redacted] and [redacted] and [redacted] assured me that he personally handed you the $15. Once again I am very sorry this happen to you. I believe you got caught in the middle of the ownership change. I believe [redacted] and [redacted] are going to do great things at Creations and hope you will give them another chance.

Sincerely,

Review: My husband has been buying me gift cards from Creations salon going on 13 years. I use them at my leisure to get hair color, or hair cuts. He always spends $125.00. The salon is rather expensive, but I have always been happy with the results. I have had the same stylist for the 13 years I've been going there. Recently my grand daughter came to visit and wanted to get her eye brows waxed, so I told her I'd take her to Creations. When we got there I was surprised it had been remodeled, and looked quite nice. After she was done I went to pay for the service with my gift card and was told it did not work. I said that was impossible because even though it was purchased in May of 2013, I had not used it and it still has the full $125.00 on the card. Then I was informed that new owners took over, and that they have new computers and the card would not read. Just then the lady that has done my hair for 13 years arrived and said let me have your card and I will talk to the owners, and get back to you. Well I have called her many times and she has ignored my calls. So much for customer loyalty. I have the receipt for the purchase of the card, and I think I should get a refund or product. I was always under the assumption that gift cards do not expire. And by the way, they did not change the name of the business, it is still Creations and that is the name on the gift card that my former stylist stole from me.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my $125.00 refunded, or the equivalent in product.Since I don't plan on doing business there anymore. I am also very disappointed in my hair stylist of 13 years. I thought she had more integrity than to steal from a loyal client.

We contacted the customer offering to refund her money and apologizing for the miss communication. We have also provided employee access to the gift cards in rare situations when both owners are out of town.
