Katrina the designer is no longer with us.  We would have assigned a new designer to Mrs. [redacted] project if the work would have been done in a timely fashion, next summer is a long time away.  We will have done over 100 projects by then.  Giving time up for a...

project now to be done in almost a year from now doesn't make business sense when you are so busy today, especially when you just had a great designer quit.  Sorry we cant meet her demands.  A full refund check has been issued as of 11/15/15.

I talked to the homeowner today. Very nice guy not sure why he had to go to the Revdex.com, but in a way I understand.  We have done everything to please the homeowner over the last few months, but I guess we came up short.  My goal now is to please Mr. and Mrs. and make there project right,...

which he agreed to.  I have a flooring specialist going out there next week to satisfy the customer.  Please let it be known we gave them a beautiful new kitchen and bathroom.  These are minor issues that I will personally handle.  As I stated before very nice people.  Thank you, Les B[redacted] Creative Bath & Kitchen, Inc.

I have reviewed the response made by the business. I have received my refund as requested so I am happy with the resolution. It is clear that what we thought was acceptable for a business/customer relationship was different, so it is for the best that we don't proceed with the project. Please consider the complaint closed.

Review: Work on a new kitchen and bath started Feb. 4, 2014. The company apparently had a rash of bad experiences with its workers---the ones who started the projects were fired, after doing considerable damage to our home, and subsequent workers were few and far between. I am only asking that they finish properly installing the transition strip between two floors & fix the toe plates in the kitchen, two of which have fallen off.Desired Settlement: Finish the job and we will be done. It is almost 2 years and we have been more than patient. Also, they claim we still owe $700. We had to clean a carpet 3 times for rust stains they caused (still can see them); repaint the bathroom after their worker scratched and gouged the walls; replace the front door threshold, which they broke and dented; fix the living room floor that they gouged, plus other scratches, etc. to closet doors and walls.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: On 5/18/15, consumer gave business a check in the amount of $11,770.00, which represented a 50% deposit on two bathroom remodels.

JOB #1: [redacted] - $7,155.00 - $3,577.50 (1st payment) - $2,150.00 (2nd payment taken from [redacted] deposit) = $1,427.50 (balance to be paid upon completion). Job started on 6/29/15 but was promised to start 3 wks from date of deposit. Customers are 90 yrs old (one of which is handicapped), this is their only bathroom, and to date is still not completed.

JOB #2: [redacted] - $16,385.00 - $8,192.50 (1st payment) - $2,150.00 (2nd payment for Job #1) = $6,042.50 (refund due). Customer had unexpected repairs on house which warranted a cancellation of the bathroom remodel. Business is claiming a 25% cancellation fee which they stated is on their contract. However, I have no recollection of signing a contract (only a Customer Quote), nor was I given a signed contract for my records. After numerous requests for proof of a signed contract, business has refused & still refuses to produce the signed contract or refund money.Desired Settlement: Wants refund in the amount of $6,042.50.

Review: In March of 2015, I signed a contract with Creative Bath and Kitchens (hereby referred to as Creative throughout this explanation) to remodel my bathroom. I was told that the job would start that May. However, May came, and the company did not contact me. I called and was told the cabinets did not come in. Then June came, and I was told their contractors were all busy. They finally began working on my bathroom in July, two months after the quoted start date. When the shower unit came in and was unpacked, one of the panels to the shower had a defect on it. I was told at that time Creative would send someone out to take care of it. Work slowed down in the middle of July because the cabinets still had not come in. Around the end of July, the cabinet arrived, but the corner attachments that held it together were damaged and had to be replaced. At this time the sales rep, Jeff said they would order new cabinets, and he would order me a brush nickel drain cover to match the rest of the bathroom fixtures. In the middle of September, the cabinets were delivered, but there was no hardware. The contractor said he looked for the knobs to the cabinets, but he could not find them. He called the main office and was told the knobs were in the warehouse. The next day, the contractor arrived and said he could not find them in the warehouse. He called the main office again and was then told they would look into it. The contractor continued installing the cabinets in order to finish the job. During this time, he called the main office again and was told the knobs were found and sitting on someone's desk. The next day, he stopped at the office, but the knobs could not be found. They were not sitting on a desk as promised. The contractor finish what he could and asked me to sign off so he can get paid. By late October, the contractor had completed everything he could without the missing shower pieces and vanity hardware. The contractor said that when Creative had the sections that were not installed, he would be back. I waited about two weeks (mid Novemeber) before I called Creative. I was told Jeff would call me back, but I did not receive a call. I waited until after Thanksgiving to call back but was told Jeff was in the hospital. After a week or two (mid December), I called back and was told Jeff would call me, but he did not. I waited until after the Christmas holidays to call back. This time, the owner’s wife said she would take care of it. Two weeks later (mid January), I called back, and she said she forgot and would get right on it. After two more weeks went by (February), I called again and was told Jeff would call me. Again, no response. In April, I was near Coraopolis, and I stopped into the store. The owner’s wife greeted me. She had to pull up my order on the computer, but she was unable to do so because . As always, she said she would pass it on to Jeff, and he would call me. The last time I called and left a message, I stated that if I did not hear from them, I was going to contact the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: To get what was promised and paid for.

Review: I had signed a contract with CK&B to remodel my kitchen and hallway floors. The contract was to be completed in 2 phases (1 phase this summer and 1 phase the summer of 2016) and would be broken down into 4 payments. The first payment would cover the cost of the first phase and would be a down payment towards the next phase. A payment was made on March 27, 2015 that totaled $6400.00. After phase 1 had been completed, I had some concerns about damage personal property. I also needed a redesign of the kitchen as one of the walls was not able to be removed. The designer did not respond to any of my emails or calls. I finally was able to get her to agree to meet on 7/30 and go over new designs/pricing as some items needed to be changed. This was now some 7 weeks after Phase 1 had been completed. The designer told me she would have the new designs and pricing to me “in a week.” Although it is now nearly three months from the date of that meeting, I have still not received these items. I received an additional 2 emails from the time we had met up until about August saying she was busy but she would get these items to me. Then on 9/9 she sent me an email saying that although she was no longer formally with the company, she would still continue to work on my project. In the last email, the designer stated thath she had gone back to school and would be out of the country until 9/26. She also said the designs were enclosed in the email - but they weren’t. I haven’t heard from her and I have sent her 5 emails.

I first tried to send an email to the company from CB&K’s website but received no response. I then attempted to contact CB&K on October 5 requesting to talk to the owner to try to see if someone could help me concerning my kitchen project, which was now 6 months old and still had no agreed upon updated design. I was able to get to speak with the owner who said he would speak to the designer. I never heard from the designer or anyone else. I called again on 10/15 and 10/16. Each time people took my name and number and said that the owner was either on the phone or with another customer.

In light of the above, I no longer felt comfortable proceeding with work on my kitchen. I sent a certified letter on 10/21/15 which was received the next day. In the letter I explained the above situation and concerns. I requested a refund of $4,110.00 (which was $6,400.00 minus the cost of the first phase) by 11/7/15. As of today I have received no response.Desired Settlement: Refund of $4,110.00.
