RE: Purchase Dispute on February 2, Dear ***,This letter is in regards to your
experience at the Coffee Beanery on February 2, We understand that you were charged an excess amount for your purchase and therefore created an unfortunate situation you had to deal withFirst off, I would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention so we were able to figure out what was going onDirectly after your information was presented to us (the owners) we called our credit card processing company (*** ***) to see what was going onThey informed us that the processing company was not the result of the issue and suggested we contact our point of sale company (***)After speaking with ***, they proceeded to inform us it was an internet issueThey explained "if there is a slow upload speed, and the connection to the gateway is not met right away there could be a potential of a duplicate charge." We then contacted our internet provider (*** ***) to see if it was a problem on their endThey assured us it was not but took the extra step in making a visit to our storeAfter confirming that the internet was in good service and upload speeds were more than adequate *** *** then installed a new internet dish to the top of the building to ensure there could never be a problem again After all that was completed we have been monitoring our clients charges to insure this does not happen againIn the event that this does happen again we will be looking to switch out our point of sale system.We are a small locally owned business and strive to serve our clients to the best of our ability It is not easy to run a business and it is very frustrating when customers have a bad experience; whether it is an error such as you experienced or an employee that didn't meet the standards we strive forWe opened our doors July 1, and try to improve our business every dayThere are mistakes made along the way but it is with customers like you that help improve our business, and we would like to thank you for doing soWe hope to see you again and apologize for the inconvenience you experiencedAlso, I don't know if it didn't reach you but we did respond to your post on "*** *** ***"I have attached for your reference.
