[I had a [redacted] claim adjustor come out and check the leak. He included that the leak was caused by improper placement of the flashing and flashing cover. They where installed so that rain could blow under and leak.]

...In response to the [redacted]omplaint. Creative Construction And Restoration ([redacted] LLC) has completed 3 jobs for Mr. [redacted] at his property at [redacted]. Two claims being [redacted] damage to inside of the modular home and the 3rd being roof replacement of the modular...

home and detached garage. During the process of the 3rd claim which was a leaking [redacted] heater on 07-08-15 Mr. [redacted] informed [redacted] LLC. on 07-10-15 that he had noticed a leak in the ceiling of a hidden area of the modular home in s hidden room directly above where the [redacted] pipe goes through the ceiling and out of the roof. [redacted] LLC. inspected the leaking area from inside and on the roof itself. What we found was that wind and or debris seemed to have shifted the [redacted] pipe from [redacted] to east significantly. It had shifted outside approximately 10 degrees and blown the pipe collar completely loose to where it dropped the bottom of the pipe thus letting [redacted] in and the inside inspection showed the pipe had shifted so much that it pulled the 7/16 OSB board up 2 inches where the seams meet. [redacted] LLC. spent 3 hours running a hose on the roof to try and figure out where it was leaking. We also wedged the 7/16 OSB board back together correctly. There was also approximately a 2 inch gap on the left inside of the [redacted] pipe and no gap at all on the right side, The right side had pinched tight and thus most likely causing the OSB board to shift. I shared and showed the findings at this time to Mr. [redacted] LLC. continued to run [redacted] on the roof to expose the leak, we inspected our shingles and caulked areas that we thought [redacted] could be intruding. We where able to slow the [redacted] intrusion and at one point stop it. [redacted] LLC. explained to Mr. [redacted] our findings and stated that we did not flash the [redacted] pipe during installation of the new roof in October of 2013 and that we were not licensed to flash or repair the [redacted] pipe on his home. The pipe itself is approximately 6 feet tall and 2 feet in diameter with no bracing to hold the pipe in place. I informed Mr. [redacted] at the time he would need to get a [redacted] company or HVAC company to assist with the pipe. Mr. [redacted] asked that I call HVAC company to inspect. I phoned [redacted] Heating And Air and explained the situation and [redacted] a company representative stated that due to pipe servicing a [redacted] and being that it is such a large exposed pipe with no bracing that his company could not help in the matter. I then gave Mr. [redacted] 2 companies that repair and or replace [redacted] pipes. The first was [redacted] and the second was [redacted]. I also told Mr. [redacted] to call me and I would meet them when they inspect and also make ourselves available to remove and or replace any shingles during their inspection or repair and to call me if the leaking remained after our attempt to caulk the areas on the roof. I have not heard back until this complaint, Mr. [redacted] states in his complaint that we did flashing work on his [redacted] pipe but in my enclosed estimate of the original roof you can see that the only flashing [redacted] LLC. did was to 2 plumbing pipes and replace 11, 750 slant back vents, I have also enclosed a copy of Mr. [redacted]s warranty paper. I have discussed this matter with [redacted] who is Mr. [redacted]s, [redacted] Insurance agent and he has agreed to accompany me and inspect the pipe. [redacted] LLC wants to resolve this matter as we have an A+ rating with the Revdex.com and will do whatever we can to help, but at this time we feel that the pipe flashing failure is due to a high wind event in the area in which Mr. [redacted] stated 07-10-2015 that he has had several wind events recently. I will respond again on this complaint once myself and Mr. [redacted] have inspected together. Thank you, [redacted] Creative Construction & Restoration
