To Whom it May Concern,I am writing in response to a notice we received on 5/8/about a complaint submittedThe iD for this complaint is *** The complaint states that the client feels he was wrongfully charged for weeks and late fees because the center director kicked his child out
of the daycareThis is not correct. On March 28" *** *** was called due to his son *** *** acting out and had also had peed his pantsWhen *** was told that *** would need picked up due to his behavior, he told the staff that he would drop clothes off but would not be picking *** upWhen *** arrived at the center the director informed him that he would need to take *** along and that *** could not finish the day at daycareAt this time *** expressed that he felt that we were kicking his son out of careOur director made it clear that he was not being kicked out and that he just needed to go home for the day but could return the next daySeveral times *** said, "so you are kicking my kids out" and was told that was not the case. The next morning *** sent me a facebook message telling me that the director kicked *** outresponded to this message telling him that his son was never kicked out and reminding him that was the only one that had the authority to even do soalso made it clear that was aware of the events of the prior day and that was the one that said he had to be sent horne for the daywerit on to explain that we have to consider the safety of the other childrer as well as our teachers when trying to work with a child who is acting out, explained that we have been more than willing to try new things and work with *** but needed help from the family in doing soSeeing as the family had become family friends with me as well as my family, was a little more understanding and forgiving with ***My response was ignored so sent a follow up message reminding *** of our policy that required a two week written noticealso took time to remind him that his kids were in a safe place with us and would continue to receive great care.*** did message ne saying the children would not be back and then we had discussion about needing written notice and paying for the two weeks*** requested a copy of his contract before payingsent the contract and then explained the late fees that were added to his bill since he had not paid by the due dateHe emailed the and apologized for how he had been acting and told me a payment would be dropped off, Payment was made for the ful amount owed.| noticed in ***'s complaint he inentioned that *** started acting out as a result of their home issues that started in December This is not accurate at al*** has been having behavioral issues for a few years nowOver the past atmost three years we have spoken with both *** and his wife ris several times about thisWe have logged issues and behaviors, taken video for the parents, and have had the parents on the phone several times*** behaviors are not just refusing to fisten, they often get violent in nature, Hitting, kicking, biting, spiting, throwing toys, pushing children, peeing on toys and furniture or purpose, pooping on the floor, smearing poop or the walls are all things that *** would doWe would only call horne when these actions reached a point that we could nothandle it safelyThere does come a point when the safety of the other children and our staff has to Come firstWe always tried to redirect, move to another room, or bribe with a reward to help control these behaviorsOnly when these things would not work would we caiiOver the years *** had been sent home numerous timesYes, his behaviors did get heightened during the family issues but it was nothing new.Based on our contracts and the communication we had, I do not feel *** request for a full refund is valid*** was looking for a reason to remove his children from our center as he did not like that his wife was friends with everyone there*** and his mother had toured other centers prior to this and tried to move the children but were told they were not allowed due to the custody not being settled yetI feel he took the events on March 28" as his way out.Responses to ***'s complaints:1) He did owe a two week notice as his children were not kicked out of care.2) His two week notice did not start on March 28" because it was not a written notice and we were toid by mom that the children would be returning since *** was not allowed to make decisions on his ownIn addition he never contacted me until March 29".3) he late fees are charged daily and do not skip days the children are not in careIf you arelate, you are charged each day until it is paid.I am attaching a copy of the contract as well as the emails *** and sentPlease let me know if you need any additional information from me on this matter.SincerelyNathan S***
