Creative Salon & Spa, Inc Reviews (7)

I sent a message earlier today regarding an unused $gift certificate and should have included that Creative Salon & Spa is in Minot,NDThe owner was listed as Bernie *** AKA Bernie *** and that the location on line appears to have A Bailey’s Massage Therapy now at that siteWhen I try calling the listed number- I get a recording that the line is no longer in serviceI also get that same response for their home phone

Creative Salon & Spa closed it business on March 18th 2017, our attorney posted a public notice from March 1st through March 18th The public notice stated that the business was closing and that customers with gift cards, could redeem them for products or services till the 18th of
March 2017. The business closed on the 18th and the attorney processed all the assets, then closed the bank accounts, turned off telephone, web sites and internet services. The complaint states they notified the business on November 29th 2017, the building has been empty since March 18th The complaint also states that A Bailey's Massage has moved into the building, A Bailey's massage closed in May of 2015, I retired from massage therapy, the listing was never removed from the telephone book The building is currently for sale (since March 18th 2017) feel free to go by and verify the building is empty SBroadway SteMinot, ND Sincerely; Gary ***, prior owner Creative Salon & Spa Inc& A Bailey's Massage

I had went to this salon we spent $my manicure polish was chipping off and my toe on my pedicure was smudged manager promised a bottle of polish to fix that nail she never sent it I have kids so it's hard to come into a salon to have a the massage was terrible I felt like they were extremely lazy about it I felt like my back was being lazily rubbed recently I had my makeup done there because nobody else was available for an appointment it was so terribly done and I can see it in my expensive family pics my skin looks orange not to mention I had to tell that girl she was missing spots on face from the airbrush my eyeliner looked like she took a crayon and drew it on she almost didn't put lipstick on !!! I said hey can u put some lipstick on ?? She smelled like cigarettes that was really horrible I have had my makeup done many times I use to model and I have never had it done that quick especially airbrushing my makeup on takes a lot of finesse and since she supposedly is a p

I went to this salon for the first time on June 1st, I was set up to work with a stylist named Megan, however I did not get her last name and apparently there are two Megans that work thereI asked to get balayage highlights and also brought in photos for referenceLong story short, she was obviously very new to her position or lacked any trainingI was there for hours, had my hair bleached twice even though it should have been an easy transition because my hair is all natural and close to blonde alreadyAfter the first time I told her it looks uneven, there are lines running horizontally through my hair and pieces that go from brown to blonde to brown and back againI thought maybe she would be fixing it by going through it againAt one point she also ripped out my earringWhen she dried my hair she tore through it and my scalp was burning from the blow dryer sitting in one spot I also got a trim that is very unevenAnyway, I began crying when she finished and told her how unhappy I wasShe brought over the other Megan who said she saw how uneven it wasShe said I could come back in the next day to get it fixedThey left me at the front desk and I thought maybe they'd let me pay after they had fixed it or tried, but instead they charged me a full $I was too upset to argue so I paid and leftI called the next day to see about getting my money back because I did not trust the same girl to do my hair and especially after it has been fried alreadyThey said I needed to let her fix it before they'd consider giving me my money backSo I went back after work with my boyfriendThe front desk lady was very rude and said I was late for my appointmentI told her I had cancelled that and like I had said on the phone, I just wanted to talk to someone about getting my money backThe owner was there and knew about the situation I guessShe brought me back into the salon and asked to see my hairShe ended up arguing with me saying she didn't see what was wrong with it, but that'd she could fix itDoesn't really make sense to fix something if there's nothing wrongI have very ashy hair, she said it has warm tonesShe basically argued every point and ended up blaming my hair for it turning out horriblyShe argued with my boyfriendI showed her pictures I had taken the day it happened and she didn't believe they were pictures of my hairI got no apology at any point in the interactionShe ended up offering to give me $backHowever she said she could only send out a check..even though I had used debit to payEven after she offered me $back, she tried to leave with coat in hand and I had to ask again about the money I haven't received the check yet and I don't believe that I ever will at this pointI had also spoken with several stylists I had been referred to by friends before I went in the second timeThey agreed that my hair was in bad condition and they weren't even sure that it could be fixedThere is more I could include, but this review is already quite longI have an appointment with a new stylist and I will be cutting off most of my hair nowAn apology or any attempt at being polite would have made a world of difference, but instead I was treated like I was lying about my hair and deserved zero respect

I am rejecting this response because:filled with dishonesty ,First off id like to start out by saying nobody ever contacted me to give me a nail polish the manager over the phone admitted to her receptionist that she never got around to getting it to me secondly my nail polish got smudged because I had a massage after my pedicure and they didn't bother to see if my nails were dry (not my job to check this ) I was taken back to get the massage in flip flops they provided I would hardly call those my shoes also I offered to take photos of the bad manicure and the smudge and she stated I didn't need to do that I believe u (clearly not ) 3rd the makeup artist kept asking me if this and that looked ok like I said before if you are gonna charge that much for makeup she needs to be confident with her work and at least have good hygiene (not smelling like cigarettes ) the smell was unbearable  also id like to add I did not tell her how to do stuff this is such a lie wow I asked her very nicely if she could put lipstick on and that my face was missing makeup in spots (she agreed it was btw )  I don't think That is unreasonable to ask her to fill in the missing makeup and adding lipstick which still wasn't accomplished as I noticed this when we were out doors for our family pics,  I forgot to add in my first note that she had made a remark that she had another woman of my color in there recently talking about how the eye shadow would work because of that I didn't appreciate that comment not appropriate   I also don't think $95 refund is unreasonable especially considering the response to me is filled with fallacies..... Lastly  the massage therapists were terrible I was not impressed as my sister was a massage therapist in LA for celebrities and executives and leaving her after a massage is heaven sub-par work does not deserve the same pay as an experienced worker that takes pride in there work I also like to add most of them are so rude ! Its unbelievable and actually the girl that did my mani pediWas prob one of the very few polite nice ladies there I am being honest and I would appreciate honesty back  Thank You [redacted]

AS a business owner you don’t stay in business for 38 years being dishonest, all my employees are commission based.  They earn more money as their skills and education increases.  The salon does not have a manager; there are two owners who manage the business. Gary and his wife Bernie, Gary is a licensed massage therapist (19 years) Bernie is a hair dresser (50 years).  Bernie was in Florida when we were notified, Bernie did call [redacted] at home and tried to resolve this issue.    The issue of a refund comes down to [redacted] permanently removing all the derogatory remarks she posted on all social media about my employees and Creative Salon & Spa. Once this is verified I will consider a refund for the services in dispute, again only if [redacted] agrees to not post any statements about Creative Salon & Spa (past, present or future).    Gary [redacted], owner Creative Salon & Spa [redacted]

On March 4th2016 the owner was on vacation out of state and called the salon as soon as she could. The owner also called [redacted] at home and offered to redo the manicure.  The owner did offer a free polish. One of our employees lives in Velva and tried to contact [redacted] to deliver it, but was...

unable to contact [redacted] to deliver it.  Creative Salon and Spa policy on refunds is that we reserve the right to fix the problem first; this helps our business identify areas that may require more training by our staff.  WE want our customers to be satisfied with their service.  [redacted] wanted a refund for the manicure because the polish chipped, without seeing the chipped polish it’s hard to determine if we did something incorrect or if the client worked in their garden or stripped furniture to cause the chipping.  The smudge on Rebecca’s toe was caused by her putting on her shoes before the polish was dry. ([redacted] was in a hurry to leave the salon).  Our massage therapists has been doing massage for 8 years, won best massage in Minot (readers choice award) this is the first complaint she has ever received about her service.  She is booked three weeks out on the appointment book.  It is the client’s responsibility to inform the therapists if they want more or less pressure.  The technician doing the air brush makeup is a newer employee, she does air brush for wedding parties, no complaints.  She stated that [redacted] was telling her how to do the service and she became flustered that’s why she kept asking is that ok?[redacted] was in our business on two separate occasions;   March 4th, 2016 for a Massage, Pedicure, Facial and Manicure, and May 11th 2016 for Air brush make-up.  On the second appointment [redacted] was upset because she told our receptionist that she wanted her free spa manicure.  WE were booked solid and had no appointment times for her, [redacted] had called and booked an appointment for make-up, but had not asked for the manicure when booking.   [redacted] never contacted the owners to resolve any of these issues.[redacted] has filed a complaint with The Revdex.com asking for a refund of $95.00 [redacted] also has posted on Yelp the same complaint.  The damage is done there no way to fix the Yelp posting. [redacted] has since moved to Fargo ND.  Gary [redacted], Owner Creative Salon & Spa Inc.
