Review: We ordered a princess jumper from Astro Jump (aka Torkay Event Services) for my daughter's 5th birthday on June 9, 2013. The jumper was supposed to arrive at 10am and be picked up at 5pm. We started calling the number on the website & leaving messages once it was 11:30am and the jumper hadn't shown up. My wife eventually got a hold of a person named Victoria who worked their and she had no record of the jumper being scheduled. This company had not only charged our credit card in full for the $105, but even emailed up a receipt of the transaction. She said that she would get a hold of someone that had the jumper and have them call us when it was on it's way. Needless to say, nobody called and the jumper never showed up. This company survives on weekend events, but when I asked why nobody was there to answer the phone on the day of the event (Sunday) she said that it's usually a light day, therefore nobody comes in to work. If this were the case, why did they later tell me that they called all of their vendors, but they were all booked up with events on Sunday. For a business that depends on special events, like your kids 5th birthday, it's utterly ridiculous that no one is available on one of their busiest days.Desired Settlement: Not only do we expect a refund for services not rendered, but we expect restitution for the tragic disappointment on my daughter's face when we had to tell her and her friends that the jumper wasn't going to show up.
