Yes they did have a leak in part of their roof, some shingles had blown loose and were falling out of the roof. I took many picture of before to show them. She explained to me the rest of the house has the same quality of workmanship as the roof did from the previous owners. I made arrangements in...

my schedule and equipment to make the necessary repairs that were very visual. I showed them the after pictures and explained everything we did and she paid me and we left.
I then got a message from her a few days later when I was in Alaska saying she had another leak. I explained to her when I would be back and that it had to be a different section of her roof. When I got back and did another inspection I went through the house and attic hatch to reach the roof for the first time. while in the attic I was able to spot many other leaks on the flat roof on top. I brought her husband up and showed him the areas and explained to him I could Patch them for a temporary fix until I have my equipment back in the area. This roof is about 35' in the air and I will not carry materials up a ladder that tall because it is not safe.
I gave them the price I would charge to replace the roof, and told them I cannot give them a contract or take any down payment for the job because I did not know when I could get back to do it. I had moved all of my equipment across the state to complete 13 jobs I had already committed to.
I was asked a few times for a contract for them to sign and I had the same answer every time. "I can not give you one because I do not know when I will have my equipment back in the area."
I also asked every time that we talked if it was leaking again and she said the same thing "NO"
I cannot control the weather and I did not get my equipment back here until Dec 24th.
I finally got to the point with her after being called unprofessional that I said I will not charge her for the repairs that I did make to stop the leak. I also told her that I will not go into a job that has negative feelings before the job would start. That would be no good for either of us and im not going to put myself in that position.
I have not responded to any text messages from that point on from her, but she continued to threaten me with calling the police, and contacting the Revdex.com, and that she was going to ruin my reputation in DODGE Co for doing this.
I will attach photos of my repairs before/ after
and also screen shots of her text messages
I will not apologize to someone who I did not have a contract with, did not take money from, and did not even charge for repairs made, and who threatens me.

One question that I have for those at the Revdex.com is whether [redacted] responded to this complaint within the time frame that one is supposed to as a member of the Revdex.com? It seemed that he took longer to respond than he should have as a member but correct me if I am wrong. Also, one of the claims he made in his response was inaccurate. At one point [redacted] requested my email address so that he could send me a contract for the roof. I provided him with my email address but he chose to never send me a contract. I have this exchange on record in my phone as it was done via text message. To me, this is just yet another example of unprofessional conduct and I feel that he needs to own the mistakes he made as a professional and apologize. Luckily, we were able to find a contractor at the end of December to come and fix our roof. He was able to come the next day with a ladder and perform the work. I still feel that we were treated poorly by [redacted] and that this complaint is still justified. I would not want other people to be put in a similiar position as we were with our roof. It was extremely stressful to be strung along for months and then be told to go find someone else to fix the problem that he failed to adequately fix the first. We were simply lucky that we found a contractor to do the work before it snowed, seeing as it was the end of December by the time [redacted] informed us that he was unwilling to do the work that he was verbally contracted to do.[redacted]
