Revdex.com case number [redacted]. 10/13/17. In response to the customers concerns, they did have a tractor trailer with mechanical issues. The tractor trailer had been towed to another repair facility and the customer was not happy with this repair facility. They called Bauer and asked if Bauer could...

repair the truck. They were told that Bauer could repair the truck but we were unaware of the actual problem because we had not worked on the truck yet. Customer said that other repair shop wanted to replace fuel pump and too many other related parts to the fuel system. Customer stated they had similar problems with a similar truck and they only wanted the main high-pressure fuel pump changed. Bauer said that we would change the fuel pump but truck may need more repairs after the pump was replaced because when the pump failed it may have sent metal particles throughout the entire fuel system. After two days of back and forth the customer decided to have Bauer tow the truck and trailer to Bauer shop. At this time Bauer had the customer pay for the towing by com-check. The customer wanted to pay with a credit card but he had no means because no credit card was present. A Company credit card is needed to be present to swipe through the credit card terminal. This is why a credit card was not excepted for the towing. Customer said Driver picking up the truck would have a company credit card and we said we would be able to except payment via credit card for repairs if driver had company card present. The truck arrived at the end of the day Friday to Bauer shop on September 22 and was looked that on Monday, September 25. Bauer checked and confirmed that the pump seemed to have a failure but truck was taken apart by previous shop and not completely put back together. On September 25 it was also determined that parts were missing. There was a two day delay in ordering those parts for the customer. Bauer installed customer supplied fuel pump and parts that had been ordered. Truck was back together on September 29 but still would not run. Did some Preliminary checking and other problems existed at least from metal particles from failed fuel pump. The customer had been supplied an original estimate from Bauer before repairs started and a supplement estimate later for additional work discovered during repairs. Customer did not want us to work on his truck any longer after it would not run. Bauer told customer that we would not do any additional work but we would only put the truck completely back together to avoid problems like the last repair shop had. Customer was concerned that this task of putting the truck back together would be additional money, we told them that was already included in our supplement estimate to have the truck completely back together even though not running. Customer had driver come in to Bauer shop to pay for repairs that were previously estimated but driver did not have a company credit card. At this point the customer was offered com-check payment or bank wire transfer. Customer elected com-check payment but took him an extra day to accomplish this. As soon as the charges were paid for, the vehicle was released immediately. Bauer automotive service has been in business since 1970 and we try our best to satisfy all of our customers. The path of repair that this customer chose, against Bauer Automotive‘s recommendations, were not successful and this most likely has this customer frustrated. Bauer is available for any additional questions or concerns on this matter thank you.
