Review: I leased a 2004 ford freestar se from this company since March 2013. Never had a problem until a few months the alternator went out and it had to be replaced, which happened after the warranty went out. Then in October of 2013 I took the vehicle to get its' state inspection and was told it would be over a thousand dollars to get it inspected. Until I could come up with the money for the inspection I was told I shouldn't drive the vehicle until I got at least the brakes fixed, so the vehicle sat in my driveway. On the night of October 18th in the middle of the night the vehicle was taken from my property. The next morning I went past the car dealership and was told that my car insurance had been cancelled which was the reasoning for the repossesion. I had insurance coverage, and never got a phone call prior to the repossession that there was any problem with my coverage since I was told they had knowledge of this since Tuesday. After all this I was told I had to pay the tow truck fee, plus my payment to get my vehicle back. After careful consideration I decided all the money I was putting into the vehicle wasn't worth the vehicle itself.Desired Settlement: After all the hassle I have been put through and money I have put into a vehicle that shouldn't have needed all of the work done that it did, I should be refunded the money I put into the vehicle.

11/7 2013

Dear Sir/Madam,

This letter is in response to a complaint filed, to your office, by [redacted].

**. [redacted] entered into a lease to own contract with our dealership on March 23rd 2013. The vehicle came with a 3 month;/ 3000 mile limited powertrain warranty. It is explained to our customers at time of lease signing that any repairs after the warranty has expired is the customer's responsibility. This is clearly written on each lease to own Contract and a customer's signature is required ultimately agreeing to those terms.

It is also explained that PA state inspection and emissions testing is the customer's responsibility. We do not require our lessee’s to service vehicles through our dealership. It is at their discretion when and where to have the leased vehicle serviced.

**. [redacted] mentions that she had to replace an alternator after her warranty had expired. This is a common repair on most vehicles as stated on the back of each Federal Buyer's Guide under electrical system. Regarding the cost to inspect said vehicle, $1000,00 seems very high, especially for brake repair, which was the only thing mentioned in her letter to you. **. [redacted] should have considered a second estimate. At no time did **. [redacted] mention any of this to our office. Otherwise, we may have been able to direct her to a better service opportunity.

Regarding the repossession of this vehicle, **- [redacted] was behind in her loan payment and her insurance was confirmed canceled. Her vehicle was disabled through our tracking system and after no response from the customer, the vehicle was repossessed on the evening of Thursday, October 17th, 2013. To protect our interest we do not allow any Vehicle to remain in the customer's possession if their auto insurance is not active. Ironically, after the repossession, **. [redacted] reinstated her auto insurance on Friday, October 18th, 2013. So the statement that **. [redacted] had valid auto insurance is false.

In closing, we are sorry to hear that **. [redacted] was not satisfied with her experience with our dealership. The repossession of this vehicle was legal and necessary to protect our interest. PA state law requires auto insurance whether the vehicle is operating or not. The vehicle was repossessed due a breach in **. [redacted]'s lease to own contract. As a company we must bear the expense to have a vehicle repossessed. Therefore, if a customer would like us to consider reinstating their lease, they must reimburse us for that expense as well as correcting the breach of their prior contract. **. [redacted] decided not to reinstate her lease with our dealership. All origination; fees and payments regarding said vehicle are non refundable and Credit Connection Auto Sales, Inc. will not be paying any monies to **. [redacted]. Thank you for your time in this matter. If there are any additional questions or concerns with this matter, please feel free to contact our office.

Review: Credit Connection located at [redacted], PA [redacted] ###-###-####. Has offered for sale on their lot a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche VIN: [redacted]

that the instrument cluster has been removed and replaced to reflect less miles 119,000. The vehicle is offered for sale for 11,500. The [redacted] reflects that is has 296,789, this means the vehicle is worth half of that. This is against the law an no one should be subject to this. Upon discovering this I said, Whats goin on here? What is the real price with this new information provided? They said, 11,500. I said so you going to just rip somebody else off? The receptionist, the sales person, and the recondition man just laughed and said yeah.Desired Settlement: If I had not of pulled a [redacted]. This would have never been known. Unacceptable and Unethical behavior shoud be known by all so an educated decision can made

Review: 1. Front passenger door handle and rear driver door handles not working properly.

This morning I was driving to work. When I went around a turn, the front passenger door flew open. I believe this is a safety issue.

2. Check engine Light. They told me this would go off in a few days or weeks. It hasn't yet. It has only been a few days. Right now, I am waiting but if it does not go off then I will have to come back to this.

3. Compensation for gas. I left the car with over half a tank of gas. They assured me they would put gas back in my tank but they haven't.

4. Rear brake tail light. The rear brake lights don't work. This is a safety issue in Pennsylvania. This was supposed to be fixed at the time of delivery of the vehicle. They are now saying that they do not intend to fix the rear brake lights and this is my expense. This is not what we agreed.

5. Car has an emission issue and engine will miss fire. That had my car for over a month and replaced the engine. The engine is not running correctly.

Their have been some issues in communicating my displeasure.Desired Settlement: I drove the vehicle for one week and as soon as I asked if their was an ETA on the vehicle I was informed that it would be done in about 2 to 3 weeks. I returned 3 weeks later and asked if the car was done and the sales man told me that it was not ready. I told them I was going to bring a state trooper by the name of [redacted] from [redacted] PA being that I have sales man experience in the past and I deal with tech support in helping customers with exceptional service and the sales man told me while I was at work in MD to bring the vehicle they loaned me because they were going to report it stolen. I replied if I were to do this I would be their in person with the state trooper and not on the phone. The salesman told me it would be done in a few days and to not worry that he was going to take care of me. A week passed I and I still did not hear from the salesman and I called the dealer and another salesman told me their was a pert they were waiting for and that it had arrived and all this time my money in gas was very high due to the vehicle they loaned me in which consumed a lot of gas. A few days passed and I spoke to the sales man who sold me the vehicle and he told me that the part had not arrived but, the previous person I spoke to told me it was their and I told him he basically lied to me and he replied it was not a lie. I left it at that because I was tired of all the talking and one month and a couple of days passed and the car was returned to me and the salesman was told that I returned the vehicle with more gas than what it was given to me with. The sales man said he would compensate me for the gas and I never mentioned to them my car had less gas than when I dropped it off. I was also told by the sales man that he was going to speak to the manager and provide me the phone number so I could contact them and I never received the number and the assistant manager on the 3rd of April 2014 told me I had to make my payment and that my request was denied. As soon as I told her about the engine light issue she said it would take a month or so but, the salesman who I spoke to before her said it would be a few days. I mentioned I would contact the Revdex.com and she said it was unprofessional on my behalf to contact Revdex.com and to my knowledge I am the customer not a professional. I felt threatened by her saying my tail light was not going to be fixed and my door handles would not be fixed and to wait a month or so on the check engine light because they have done a lot for me. To me it is an issue being that I have an 11 year old and a 4 year old son who have went out with me in this vehicle. I do not let my kids get in the car due to certain safety issues and all I asked was to fix my problems and I am happy. I have made my car payments on time and I don't see it fair to me what is being done to me.

Kindest regards, [redacted]

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:When I purchased the car the sales man told me that they would fix the issue with the oil burning and to my knowledge the issue was not fixed. I also am very bothered when they said I never told them about my car door handles when I gave the salesman a paper of the issues with the vehicle. I am currently going through a lot of oil and as for the car, I really do not want to keep the car being that I took it to my friend who owns a car shop and he said the car is not worth buying being that the car is presenting more problems. Today is April 29th and I still have not received my registration sticker and the paper on the back of my rear glass expires 5/2/2014. I am really unsatisfied with the dealer and the way they are not helping me solve the issue. I just want my money back and they can have the car. I asked for something to be taken care of and it was not fixed and I also showed the salesman the codes that came up on the machine indicating the car has an issue when they told me they would fix the check engine light and now they are saying they will not fix it, I personally think I was scammed into buying this vehicle. One code is the [redacted] and the other is the [redacted]. I do not think it is fair with the service I am getting due to the fact that all my payments have been done on time and their are times when I call and they do not call me back when they say they would and the woman I asked whom is the manager said my car would not fixed and she also said I was not a professional and my reply to her was I am not a professional I am a customer. I have friends who work for the state police and they even told me the service their is not good being that they take people for granted and I am really bothered how they have been treating me. If something were to happen that my kids are in the car and the door handle does not close due to them not fixing it and the door would swing open again, I will press charges and if need be I will take this to court being that we are talking of the safety of my 2 sons ages 11 and 5. All I asked was that the car get fixed but now all I get is the run around and also I noticed some parts in the engine that were not tightened making a loud rattle when the car is turned on. I also noticed the oil was never changed when the car was returned to me and I know it because it was black after I did the oil change myself. All I ask is to get my money back so I can go somewhere else and purchase a car that will not give me as much issues as this one has and if if we need to go to court I am all good to go all I need to do is contact my lawyer.

Regards,
