October 12, 2015 RevDex.com, Southwest Region Albuquerque, New Mexico RE: Credit Connection's latest response on complaint ID [redacted] We received the case closure letter regarding the response dated September 15, 2015, from the Credit Connections, LLC. It's better late than never. We just returned from Colorado Springs, Colorado this past weekend and found the email on the subject matter. We find the response to be non-businesslike and unacceptable. Ms. Vanessa Y***, the respondent is in denial for the most part. We are adamantly displeased with the response as it is intended to railroad the underlying issues. It falls shy of the truth and is a concerted effort to protect Michael W [redacted] the owner's bogus dealings with us by his fruitful presentation of the credit restoration program they offer. By virtue of his manipulative tactics and he is the person the respondent should accuse of making false statements. Also, the respondent alleges they do not give out monthly reports to the customers in her concluding statement, which demonstrates their stubbornness. Due to this, they kept us in the dark as a result of their failure to give us a monthly progress report. This makes abundantly clear they keep all customers in the dark for their gain. In addressing the legal issue to stop the creditors from harassing us via telephone calls and visits. It was after the cease letters failed and creditors continued harassing us so we decided to make an unannounced visit to the Credit Connections office to complain and express our frustration. They told us we needed to seek legal help from another source and recommended the Abeyta law firm since they were not attorneys. The New Mexico Office of the Attorney General's Human Rights Division was more helpful in this regard. In conclusion the respondent gets very personal and makes unnecessary personal attacks on us. The part where she alludes to trying to help us sell a Polaris ATV is uncalled for and further demonstrates their non-businesslike operation. They made the offer to help us sell but we refused. She failed to mention Michael wanted the ATV in exchange for free service for a period of two years. That tells all about the kind of business being operated by the Credit Connection. Isn't this type of wheeling and dealing prohibited by the applicable state and federal laws and regulations? We were not provided credit counseling to educate us on budgeting or finances at any time as mentioned. There is a mention about me about defaulting on my credit cards which is highly questionable. It does not mention that I said I was concerned about the credit cards but at same time I was simply adhering to Michael's advice in defaulting on the credit cards because they would delete it after the charge off. I did not say I didn't care if the creditors charged off the credit cards. There are other issues of concerns that has been brought to light that are personal and unnecessary to address but it does demonstrate that the Credit Connection, LLC is not the best credit restoration program in the state of New Mexico as Michael initially claimed at the time of initial enrollment. We found out they are not in the business to restore credit for customers, as their banner hung on the wall states we don't just restore credit, we restore lives". We believe we have been treated unfairly and we are asking for a refund without further due for a resolution. Please be advised we are not pleased with the response and it is not a resolution. Thank you. Sincerely, [redacted] ***

September 18, 2015 Better Business Better 308 N Locke Ave Farmington, NM 87401 Dear Madam: We are in receipt of the response by Vanessa Y[redacted] General Manager of the Credit Connections, LLC regarding complaint ID [redacted]. We have reviewed the contents of the response and find it very defensive and bogus in attempt to cover their poor service. Our response follows the pattern of the Credit Connections response. The part wherein it states the Credit Connections makes it a priority to keep client information completely confidential. It is our position that we as the unsatisfied customers and/or clients gave your organization authorization to perform any necessary investigative task on our behalf and should not present any confidential issues. The respondent claims, they did not recommend to me to stop paying my bills is totally false. In countering this part, I wish to state Mr. Michael W[redacted] owner of the business is the person who advised us to stop paying the creditors and to stay away from. He promised us they will deal with them in the event harassment calls by the creditors should continue. On January 21, 2015, we did meet with a program analyst and she later called in the owner and gave us a rosy and fruitful overview of the credit restoration program they administer. He was very gun ho about the program and promised us our credit will be greatly improved to a level close to 700 point range in three months by April 1, 2015. In referenced to the cease letter, they did provide us sample of cease letters to send to the creditors because of their harassment calls. We sent them out and it was no help. We recalled Security Finance Loan contacting the Credit Connections and all they basically told them was we were not on a debt program with them. That led us to question are they really helping us or what are we paying them for? At the time we opted out of the program we recall having 8 appointments or meetings with them. By May 2015, I became very frustrated with the lack of progress by the Credit Connections and boycotted the appointment. The following month in June was not any better and in July we demanded an official progress report and we were finally provided a client portal via email. We were provided a report only one time during the entire time we were on the program. We questioned the services being provided to us as we were paying $241.00 a month. We did not make a false statement regarding reports and our aforementioned statement is true and correct about getting only one report via email. We never received any letters from Credit Connection only phone calls to remind us of the appointments. We were not made aware that credit report updates served as progress report which showed lack of progress month to month. As a matter of fact my ([redacted]'s) credit score declined sharply from a decent 626 to 434 all-time low. Unfortunately, we cannot restore credit or assist a client that does not participate in the joint effort of the program is a sorry statement by the respondent. This particular statement further leads us to question the reason for their existence. There is a banner in their office showcasing "We don't only restore credit scores, we restore lives". The concluding statement where it referenced clients did receive correspondence from the credit bureaus that kept us up to date and was proof of the work we completed on the client. As aforementioned we were not aware these correspondences were being used as progress reports. In response to my request for progress report for April, May and June 2015 it states; however, we do not print each month and keep on file. That tells all about their poor management tool and it raises a troublesome concern. We opted out of the program and it is not necessary for them to provide us any more information. Thank you,[redacted], unhappy customer
