Review: They need to stop contacting me over medical bills, I do not owe. This company has been told more than once!!Desired Settlement: stop calling or else!!

Business

Response:

In response to the complaint received on 6/15/15, Credit Management Company apologizes for theinconvenience regarding this matter. Please be advised that the phone number has been removed from oursystem to prevent future contact concerning this account.Should there be any further issue or questions, please feel free to contact us. Review: In the past month I have received several weekly calls from CMC each time with a different account for medical bills owed on services received at allegheny clinic for which I NEVER received a bill directly from them not know about the outstanding balance owed until I get a call from CMC. One of the more recent phone calls I was told they were calling to collect on a debt from 2011 for over $1000 for a medical bill. When I for what was owed in writing I was told no since they already mailed something out. Now I don't anyone in their right mind who would pay $1200 without seeing proof that it is what they owe and even then questioning the medical insurance who often erroneously bill people and have to resubmit claims properly. Also they advised since the address I verified was the same address all bills would have been sent to so they again would not resend them. I didn't live at that address in 2011 and early 2012 so I believe it is not unreasonable to ask to see the bill. Also The postal service is not perfect. Delivery and receipt is not guaranteed. I can guaranteed I have never received invoices for the bills in question and would like them before I pay anything. That's common sense. Allegheny clinic is notorious for not sending bills and sending items to collections so I want to make sure that these amounts are valid. Especially since I cannot recall any dr related issues in 2011 that would cost me over $1000.Desired Settlement: I want copies of the bills or information submitted to them showing I owe what they are claiming I owe.

Business

Response:

We have had a total of twenty-two accounts against Ms. [redacted]. Of those twenty-two

accounts, seven of them have been returned back to the client as “uncollectable”, seven

of them have been paid in full, and eight of them are still outstanding. Five of the

accounts that have been paid in full were done so directly to the client and the other

two were paid directly to us via debit card to a representative as well as through our

secured payment website.

Ms. [redacted] states that she has not received some of the bills yet our client has sent bills

on each of the twenty-two accounts and CMC has also sent individual bills for each of

the twenty-two accounts placed. In her complaint she states that she did not live “at

that address” in 2011 yet, the address she is referring to, she confirmed on 10/28/2011

as a correct mailing address.

Credit Management Company will go ahead and request itemized statements from our

client on the outstanding accounts. Although both our client arid CMC have each sent

bills on the account(s) in question we will go ahead and mail another bill with itemized

statements to Ms. [redacted]’s [redacted] address provided.

Consumer

Response:

The "statements" I received are impossible to read. In looking at them there are 3 columns titled "ins 1" "ins 2" and patient. The claim that I owe $1200 shows an outstanding balance owed of $1007+164.50= $1171.50. These charges were submitted incorrectly by my insurance company and after a long conversation with them back in 2011 the claim was said to have been readjusted and taken care of. I saw no other bills to the contrary until now. So I am in discussion with Aetna regarding these charges and will advise once I receive a resolution. That same day I spoke to a rep about charges for my son which again I heard nothing of until CMC contacted me was said to be a total of $64 For [redacted] I have one invoice here showing a charge for $15.50 from January 20. Which again no bill or notification until I receive a call from CMC. I pay the bills I receive from Allegheny Clinic and I can't pay what I don't receive. And when the call I get for money due is from a collection agency I am going to be certain that I owe the money as hospital and insurance companies make the mistake all the time of improperly charging things and submitting claims. So once I verify what you have is owed I will then pay. If it's found the hospital or insurance company made an error I will communicate that too. This call is the first I have received for an account that is supposedly from 2011. Why I am just receiving a call on money owed from back then along with current "oustanding items" that's a tad bit suspicious to me. Please send me statements for all accounts owed for [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted]. Whatever accounts I currently have that I owe on I would like an itemized bills. We have received multiple calls in one week be it my husbands phone or my own about accounts that we own on---there is no call for that. One phone call with all that information will suffice. Written proof is what's required so I can confirm with insurance company. Thanks

Regards,

Review: I AM IN THE PROCESS OF IMPROVING MY CREDIT SCORE. I ASKED THE REPRESENTATIVE AT THIS COMPANY IF MY ACCOUNT WOULD BE REMOVED OR DELETED FROM MY CREDIT REPORT WHEN I SATISFY THIS ACCOUNT. SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T KNOW BUT SHE ASSURED ME THAT IT WOULD IMPROVE MY SCORE IF I PAY THIS OFF. AFTER I PAID IT SHE SUDDENLY KNEW THAT IT WOULD NOT BE REMOVED FROM MY CREDIT REPORT. I LATER FOUND OUT, AFTER PAYING, THAT THIS WILL NOT INCREASE MY SCORE. I WOULD HAVE LIKED AN HONEST ANSWER SO I COULD HAVE MADE MY DECISION ON WHEN PAYING THIS WOULD BE MORE BENEFICIAL TO MY PLAN. I FEEL SHE DELIBERATELY WITHHELD INFORMATION FROM ME.Desired Settlement: SINCE I WAS MISLED AND I HAVE PAID THE ACCOUNT IN FULL;I WOULD LIKE THIS ACCOUNT DELETED/REMOVED FROM MY CREDIT REPORT.

Business

Response:

Ms. [redacted] claims that Credit Management Company’s representative assured her that by

paying the debt she acknowledged she owed that it would improve her credit score. The issue

with that is our representatives do not work for the credit bureau companies nor do we advise

those companies as to how to “score” consumers credit scores, we simply notify them that we

will report the debt as “paid” per the Fair Credit Reporting Act’s guidelines. I think it’s fair to

say that a “paid” account on a credit bureau is better than an “unpaid” account but again we do

not control how the bureaus score consumers, we simply report and follow the guidelines of

the FCRA.

Ms. [redacted] paid this debt May 1, 2014. All payment transactions for May are not reported to

the credit bureaus until the first week of the following month. Based on that it’s impossible for

a payment made during the current month to affect anyone’s credit score so it will be unlikely

that there will be any positive effect until next credit bureau update is done in June.

Review: This company keeps making automated calls to my cell phone number (###-###-####) once or twice a week asking for a [redacted] to collect a debt. I've indicated through the menu options a number of times that this is a wrong number (I recently got the number so [redacted] probably had it before). It is a nuisance and I have no idea how to stop it. When I call the number, I can never get through to an actual person.Desired Settlement: Stop making the calls.

Business

Response:

Phone number of ###-###-#### has been removed from calling.

Director of Operations CMC

Review: This was paid in full on 2/12/16, spoke to Brooke. This was never removed from my credit report. TransUnion says its still in collections. I'm trying to remove it from my credit report.Desired Settlement: Removal from Credit Report.

Business

Response:

In response to the complaint dated 3/28/16; please be advised that we apologize for anyinconvenience this has caused. Credit Management Company’s role in the credit reportingprocess is simply to advise the credit bureaus of consumer account information and anyupdates to that information. When an account is paid in full, it may take between 30-45 days for the information to beupdated, or deleted, from a consumer’s credit report. The removal of the account is theresponsibility of the credit bureaus. Credit Management Company notifies the appropriatebureaus to remove the account as it is in paid in full. From that point, the bureaus must removethe account. If the account was paid on 2/12/16, this may still be in the process of beingremoved by the credit bureaus.A manual request to remove the item was sent to the credit bureaus on 3/29/16 as well. Thisnotifies the credit bureaus that an item needs to be deleted from a consumer report. Please notethat this can take up to 30-45 days to remove (dependent upon bureaus). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at ###-###-#### (toll free).Thank you.Sincerely,Andy B[redacted]Compliance Manager

They won't provide me information of payments that I have made to them on accounts..The lady on the phone was very rude too about the whole situation! Makes me so mad !

Review: This financial services company does not provide receipt of payment.Desired Settlement: Receipt of payment.

Business

Response:

In response to the complaint dated [redacted] we apologize for any inconvenience this mayhave caused you. Please be advised that provision of an authorization code is a form of receiptas it is proof of payment. Statements such as your bank statement or credit card statement arealso proof of payment. Our agents may also direct consumers to our online website to makepayments if you would like a hard copy receipt. Any of these options would have beenpresented at the time of payment. Provision of a hard copy receipt is not required, but availablevia online payments.Attached is a receipt of payment. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at [redacted]Thank you.

Review: I'm not sure exactly why this company is calling me as they never leave a message. However, the calls are extremely excessive. They start as early as 8:07am and continue till as late as 7:45pm. The following is how many calls I have received (according to my comcast online account) just in the last week or so. I have had the number blocked for some time now but the calls still show up in my online account and occasionally, from the extreme amount of calls, one or two get through to my actual phone. September 4th I received 30 calls between 6:54pm and 7:07pm. September 10th I received 12 calls between 1:35pm and 1:47pm. September 13th I received 28 calls between 10:12am and 10:25am. This has been going on for the last few months. Again, I'm not sure why this company is calling. And honestly, at this point I don't care. This can NOT be legal! I have enclosed a screen shot of just part of my phone records.Desired Settlement: I want this company to stop harassing me or else I will take my phone records to a court office and find out about the possibility of pressing charges for harassment.

Business

Response:

Ms. [redacted] has a total of 10 accounts placed in our office and at no time have we

called 30 times on neither 09/04 nor 28 times or 12 times on 09/10 or 09/13. We did

however call one time of each of those days and the call did not go through.

CMC has a sophisticated system that tracks and records every call made to ensure that

we remain FDCPA compliant along with any and all other Federal and State

laws/regulations.

Consumer

Response:

In the message I received, the company stated that they did not call as many times as I stated in my complaint. They simply explained their automated system. I am not sure if their automated system is malfunctioning, or if this is an outright lie. However, no matter what the case, I have attached my phone records from August 20th up until October 3rd (well after I made my request through the Revdex.com for them to stop calling me). As you can clearly see, there are SEVERAL calls on the dates above. After submitting my complaint, the calls subsided a little as you can see on September 24th and 30th's records. However, as of October 3rd, they started back up again. I submitted 2 pictures of the same record for that day to show that the calls are at different times during the day. So they are NOT calling only once a day as stated in their response to me. At this point, I don't wish to continue going back and forth. I simply want this company to stop calling my house all together.

Review: My wife and I made payments to Credit Management Company in October of 2015, and I was told by the representative that we needed to make another payment in November. When I called CMC in November, the rep their told me my accounts were all clear, that I owed nothing. This was confusing, so I made several calls to various business offices of the healthcare provider, Conemaugh Health Systems. This involved [redacted] and [redacted] The rep's there assured me that my accounts were current, and that nothing was in collection.

By early January of 2016, collections for Credit Management Company were still showing up on my credit report, and I began to make calls to find out why. Even though everyone at Conemaugh Health Systems continued to assure me that my accounts were up to date, I received a call from Credit Management Company (Carol) telling me that I still owe around $1200.

I am complaining precisely because Conemaugh and its agents continue to assure me that my accounts are up to date, that nothing is in collection, and yet CMC says I owe them $1200. It seems impossible that there could be such a profound disconnect between a healthcare provider and its credit collection agency.Desired Settlement: Correction to credit report and billing adjustment.

Business

Response:

We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration that has occurred because of thissituation. In order to shed some light on this issue and clear any misinformation, our response isoutlined below. Please be advised that discussions have taken place with both medical providers in whichservices were rendered and both have provided information validating the balances owed. Wehave been provided itemized statements from Conemaugh Physician’s DLP with accountsnoted as “sent to collections”. We also have documented that you spoke with a [redacted]

[redacted] concerning your accounts in which she validated and no furtherdocumentation was presented as our understanding was this validation was acceptable to you.If you would like the itemized statements for the accounts, please contact us by phone or mail arequest for these items to the address listed on this response. From our research, it appears that there was information provided to you by the [redacted]that may have been incorrect. There may have been balances associated with a Physician’soffice that is billed separately from the hospital and other offices. This is common practice andunfortunately causes confusion amongst patients as it can appear as though you received a billfor the same service. Physician offices that service the same hospital have separate systemsand therefore the information can’t be viewed by other offices. This would explain why they arestating your accounts are paid or that nothing was sent to collections because they, in essence, don’t have the accounts or access to them. Please be advised that if there is any information that you can provide contrary to what we haveon file, or if you believe the balances have been paid, to provide us with the information and wemay forward it to our client(s) for verification. We apologize for this inconvenience and certainly want to come to a satisfactory resolution ofthis matter. Currently, our records and information provided by our clients indicate that abalance is still owed. The balance total is currently $1,209.42 according to our records. Wewould be happy to provide you with the appropriate documentation as stated previously and/orwork out a plan for payment, if you so choose. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us at the number provided.Thank you.Sincerely,Andy B[redacted]Compliance Manager

Review: Had a workers compensation claim with [redacted] who had many billing errors and even though my workers comp was approved and taken care of and case then closed - the billing error on their part went to a collections agency - Credit Management Co. who continuously called me regarding payment, and threats of having my credit score compromised. I took the last phone call today - 5/27/2015. My work injury happened 1/11/2013. The credit company has been told of this error - months and months ago and still continues to call - even 1 call after being aware of the situation is one call too many! The management has been of very little help and egged me to get so upset I would say something for her to hang up on me. Her name was Anna Morgan and she is on the management staff. She tried to say there was no call for me specifically and actually breached another persons personal information by telling me a Stephanie Robatin has a debt there, if that was any of my business. They can keep their below standard business practices. Also, to continue to call me regarding a workers compensation claim to my knowledge is illegal, and to say If called again I was going to call an attorney does not constitute a threat - but one persons right to the law.Desired Settlement: I would hope that this is not currently on my credit score -or history - if so I want it removed! I would also like for the higher management conduct some customer service training to their management staff as they seem to be losing touch with the way to handle situations better than what has happened to me.

Business

Response:

In response to the complaint received on 5/27/15, Credit Management Company sincerely apologizes forthe inconvenience and frustration felt on behalf of the consumer regarding this matter. There was acombination of events that led to the frustration and one of the main points of consternation has beenrectified. The consumer contacted CMC on 9/1 5/14 to discuss account and was advised that if issue was withWorker’s Compensation and insurance that she may call back with the Worker’s Compensationinformation and we would proceed with the process of sending this to the appropriate parties forresolution. Calls were made by consumer to CMC on 9/17/14, 10/3/14, 11/20/14, 3/30/15, and 5/27/15 todiscuss issue.Worker’s Compensation information was provided to CMC on 10/3/14, processed, and consumer wasadvised that the process may take 30-60 days, or longer, depending on the receiving institution. To thispoint, the issue was awaiting resolution and processing from the receiving institution (e.g. Worker’sCompensation, client, insurance company) provided to them by Credit Management Company. To date, this is still being processed to our knowledge. The complaint also staLs, “Credit Management Company continuously called me regarding payment, andthreats of having my credit score compromised.” CMC attempted to contact consumer via automateddialer concerning their account on the following dates: 9/15/14, 10/1/14, 3/26/15, and 3/28/15. Anycontact made outside of these dates were directed to CMC by consumer and/or intended for a differentconsumer. It was discovered that another consumer with the same last name provided the same phonenumber. This led to calls made to complainant that were not intended for her. Please be advised that our company is provided contact information by clients and assumesaccuracy of this information as provided to them by the consumer. The complainant was advised of this error on 5/27/15 but stated that she had felt lied to. Our supervisoralso advised that she would remove the phone number to prevent further communication. CMC maintainsa quality assurance and monitoring policy for calls and any “threat” of credit reporting would be contraryto all training and policies upheld by the company. An investigation will be conducted to ensure that nosuch threat was made and, should it be discovered that any threat of credit reporting was made; therepresentative will receive appropriate disciplinary action up to, and including, termination as determinedby management. Please be advised that no credit reporting has occurred for consumer’s account accordingto our records. As stated previously, CMC has attempted to resolve the following points of frustration to the consumer tothe best of our ability:1. Worker’s Compensation materials have been sent to the appropriate recipients and are awaitingprocessing2. Phone number has been removed from our system to prevent future unwanted contactShould there be any further issue or sense of non-resolution, please feel free to contact us. Again, weapologize for any inconvenience and hope that this response is satisfactory. Thank you.Sincerely,Compliance Manager

Review: I have 1 account listed through Credit Management Company that I was never notified of. They state they sent me letters but I have never received anything. The only reason I know about it is because I am trying to buy a house and this came up on my report. I contacted them and offered to pay it if I could only get a letter of deletion because this is stopping me from buying a home. The agent I spoke with said they never under any circumstances provide these letters. Though the financial company I am working through stated that they have received no less then 20 letters from them within 1 month authorizing different items being removed from individuals credit reports. I then called and asked to speak with a supervisor and she was worse then the agent was. So when I requested to speak to someone above her she stated that no one else would speak with me. She was very rude and was continuously speaking down to me. When I told her that she was providing very poor customer service she stated that I was not her customer at least 3 times. I feel that this company has treated me very poorly over $80.00 that I offered to pay. I suggest that if you need to contact this company try to go straight to the top because so far I have not received anything resembling professional assistance which is what their website boosts "A professional staff that gets results". And I definitely have not gotten any results yet.Desired Settlement: I would like to pay the $80.00 that I owe and get a letter of deletion. I was never notified of this balance and I don't think it is right that this $80.00 is standing in the way of me buying a home.

Business

Response:

Ms. [redacted] has had multiple letters mailed to her, originally by the Client, and then by our office. She has acknowledged that she owes the debt yet she is refusing to pay it unless it is deleted from her credit report. It is our policy as well as our Client’s policy NOT to remove/delete items from a credit report that have been verified to be valid. Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act we are required to report it as ‘Paid’ if in fact the debt has been paid but as of today’s date Ms. [redacted] has failed to pay her debt and fulfill her obligation and, as the Revdex.com can see, she acknowledges she owes the debt. Again, this will remain on her credit report even if she pays the debt and as required per the FCRA we would then report it as ‘Paid’. We are acting and always act within the guidelines of the federal law. Ms. [redacted] other allegations are completely false regarding what she claims her “financial company” has told her as we do not disclose any type of information to third party companies.

Sincerely,

Compliance Manager

Consumer

Response:

I again feel that this company is bullying me. They are calling me a liar because I never received anything in the mail, I don't care if their records show that they have sent me 100 letters. If I didn't get 1 of them it still doesn't help me. I have seen the deletion letters that were sent to my financial aide. Whether the company shares information or not, he still has them. A person can give any fax # they would like and if its not sent to said person the company would never know. I have also filed a complaint with the Attorneys General office and will contact a lawyer as my next step. I again feel as if I am being harassed/bullied by this company and will not let this go. Yes I did state that I owe the money and I do not mind paying it, but because I was not informed of this before this whole process started I do not feel that it is fair that this should count against me. I would also like everyone to know that this company is standing in my way of buying a home over $80.00!

Regards,

Review: Medical bills were sent to this company after my parents failed to give them to me; however, I was only contacted once after the bills had transferred there. I made the past due payment and advised them not to contact my parents regarding this matter as I no longer live with them and they have not been forwarding my mail or messages. The payment did not go through and again, they contacted my parents after I requested they didn't and I never got the information. After reviewing my credit report I realized there was an issue and again called to rectify the situation and make the payment again. I requested that the negative report be removed from my credit immediately as I was trying to obtain a mortgage. I also inquired about getting all negative reporting removed from my report since they failed to contact me at my updated address/phone number as requested. I was told it would not be removed from my credit since the address listed was a "permanent address". I asked why they failed to update my information and contact me as requested, but they had no answer and stated they would transfer me to a supervisor. Once transferred I was sent to a voice mail. I left a message asking for a follow up but never received a call.Desired Settlement: I would like for all negative reporting to be removed from my credit history with all three major credit agencies.

Consumer

Response:

I received your message with Credit Management Company's response. I would like it make to known that I never agreed upon a payment plan of $25 a month. I attempted to pay the full amount due as soon as I received the first phone call. I assume they spoke to my mother who made that arrangement, not me. Additionally, their letter does not address the fact that I attempted to change my demographics with them several times and they still failed to contact me regarding any issues with the initial pay off attempt, leading to additional prolonged negative reporting.

Review: I was called yesterday about a bill/collection for a sum of 10 dollars, with credit management company, so I paid it, so I asked them can I get a receipt for the payment sent to me the rep for the company told me that they don't give receipts for payments, so I asked her how do I verify I paid for it, she said from my banking billing statement, all I want is a receipt and I would be happy, can you help meDesired Settlement: I want a receipt from the company with the account number and the amount paid in full from the company letter head

Business

Response:

It is Credit Management Company’s policy not to send a receipt unless the consumer

sends in a self-addressed stamped envelope. Mr. [redacted] paid via his debit/credit card

which provides him a record of the payment. We also provided him with a payment

confirmation number.

If this does not suffice I will authorize a letter to be sent stating that Mr. [redacted] paid

$10.00.

Review: I get injections to my knee and one time I had to pay a coulpe thousank dollars. When my bill got under 500.00 a man called me from cvs and set up two final payments one out of one pay and another automatic from another pa. This was in the fall. So for a couple of months I kept getting phone calls to collect a dept. I knew I paid it but was looking for the check meanwhile I had to pay it again to credit managment co, then I found my check that the 150.00 I paid on Nov. 2013. I contacted the credit company and after taking my 150.00 they cancelled the collection and said caremard did not correctly inform then it had been paid . So now caremark says the collection office owes it me and caremark says it is collections that owe me. Meanwhile I have called them several time and niether would cooperate. Hope you can help me..Thank youDesired Settlement: I want my 150.00 back

Response:

After review of [redacted]’s account, it was evident that she had made payments to

both CVS Pharmacy and CMC for services received 3/1/2013. After review of the account

it appeared that she paid the balance placed with CMC of $518.75 and also an additional

$120.00 to [redacted].

I emailed my contact at [redacted] named [redacted], and he reviewed and put

in to have the balance over-paid of $120.00 refunded back to [redacted].

Attached is the response from [redacted] admitting error in the handling of [redacted]’s

refund.

[redacted],

I will see to it this refund gets processed as quickly as possible.

I apologize for the miscommunication on CVS’s part. I will reach out to

leadership here and ask them to reinforce policy with our reps.

Consumer

Response:

This has not been resolved .Right after I got the first email from you I wrote you back with a copy of the check I paid these people. along with the attachment of it...This is not true I sent you email.
