***, Regarding the complaint from *** ***:*** (the owner) met with Mrs *** and they discussed what she wanted doneThere were some areas that she was not concerned with so *** gave her a price that she agreed on for the scope of work they discussedThey did the
tree trimming/removal and hauled and dumped debris. Mrs *** then called back and said there was an additional tree that fell and she would like it removedWhen the crew arrived the took care of the tree but was then instructed by Mr *** to remove additional debris that was not part of the original bidThe crew let him know that it was not in the work requested and Mr *** told them to just clear it and he would pay for it. When they received the bill Mrs *** then contacted me and said she had paid itWhat she paid was the 2nd bill and not the 1st bill for the original agreed amountThis is when she said that nobody approved additional work. I set up a meeting for *** to meet with her on a Saturday at 11:*** arrived at 11:and she she was gone although she said she waited an hourI know she did not because he called me at 11:and said nobody was there. I would be willing to work something out with her if would luike to contact me.Thank you, ***

I am rejecting this response because:During the initial quote, we discussed that I was not concerned with anything in the wooded areas of our property but that we needed all the dead wood removed/hauled off from the cleared area ground This was the most important thing we wanted done and was not completed at all There were branches and large pieces of wood stacked around in piles in some places and not picked up at all in others I emailed and called asking when it would be completed and mentioned another tree had fallen in the weeksMy husband spoke to the workers while I was attempting to get the baby to nap He told them that he thought it was all covered under the first quote They insisted not, but said their boss would come talk and straighten it out The boss never came and talked to us (We were around all day) so we assumed it had been straightened out. I paid the bill I recieved in the mail and then started getting emails of a slightly higher bill, which I assumed had been adjusted to include the extra tree However, when I requested the bill be modified to show my previous payment, I was told that the bill I'd paid was supposedly for extra work done (One bill was being sent by mail only while the other came by email only I'd not looked closely and assumed they were the same bill).I tried calling in about it several times and was basically told I needed to pay both bills in full with no discussion other than to say we agreed to it (We did not) It was only when I sent the check for the remaining amount on the first bill with a note that said I would not pay more without a discussion that they scheduled the meeting where *** was a no show. I would be willing to pay a reasonable amount for the extra work (the extra tree) but will not pay the amount that keeps being sent to me for work under the scope of the initial contract.
