I have NEVER been treated so poorly from a business attempting to resolve a debt! The phone rings and it's a guy named Tony. He gives me the who, what, where and etc. I politely ask for the amount due and where I can send payment. In a very rude tone he begins to tell me that we already spoke, he already gave me the amount and he shouldn't have to repeat this. Floored (and a bit shocked) but remaining calm, I apologized to him for not recalling the conversation and proceeded to explain to him that the wife and I are currently unemployed and my life has been very hectic. He then UNBELIEVABLY goes on to, once again say, "how can I trust that giving you this information is worth my time because I should already have this written down."
At this point, I'm almost at a lost for words. I again very calmly asked for the amount and where I should sent payment. He gave me this information and before I could say thank you or apologize once again.......HE HANGS UP ON ME! Are you kidding me!.....WOW!
I now understand why some people refuse to talk to companies like this.
I took time to visit their website and happened to cross their "Collector's Pledge." It reads as follows;
I believe every person has

I believe every person should be
treated with dignity and respect.
I will make it my responsibility to help
consumers find ways to pay their just debts.
I will be professional and ethical.
I will commit to honoring this pledge.
Needless to say....Tony might want to revisit his commitment to the pledge.
