On June 30th, 2017, I had several transactions processed at the bank, and they were processed in such an order that the first purchase made the account go negative, so a $NSF fee was assessed The same thing happened two other times that day, apparently based on pending transactions, not actual posted transactions Net result, $in NSF fees within hours based on ~$worth of purchases The deposits I also made that day to insure purchases were covered were processed in a much different fashion, appearing to me to only be officially posted after an end of day "batch" process, while purchases and authorizations were debited at exact time of transaction I was under the impression that Dodd-Frank made this tactic of selective posting of transactions to maximize fees was now illegal The net result at the end of the day without the "real-time" NSF fees pushing the account down $would have been +$64.80, again showing NSF assessments were improper Looking closer a

I have never been treated so bad by a financial institutionThey have basically lied to me in what type of services they offeredThe first one is a secure of what they call “built your credit” is a lieIt is not a loan, you pay it first with interestIt will not help at allIf you pay it early they will write to the credit bureau and give you a negative ratingI had a direct deposit and never offered overdraft protection (yes I went twice and spoke to the manager) they said we will added and never didThey screw with my credit report by return checks and charge dollarsAll big banks and other credit union provide you with that serviceI have been in their location and waited hour to be have someone reviews the issues promises of fixing the issues and they never didThe last time I went the customer service was rude, obnoxious y told me to “go to another bank” and so I didI have spoken to the company that I work to review their relationship with this institutionYes they call me and when I call back never answer the phone

Credit Union West reached out to me with a pre-screened offer to refinance my vehicle loan for a lower interest rate of 5.75% After collecting my information they revised the offer to 6.75% with $2,down I declined their offer, as it would have been no different than my current financing in terms of complete monies exchanged upon the life of the loan This was done via email and phoneThey then send a letter of credit denial on their part citing "Incomplete Credit Application" though an offer of credit was issued on their partSteer clear of joke factories like this one, as well as any institution that provide pre-screened offers They only run up the number of credit inquiries that effect your credit score

I have banked with CUWest since Since 2014, my account has been hit with fraudulent charges times (twice on my MasterCard and once on my debit card), through online purchases Each time I caught the fraudulent charges while they were “pending” and immediately contacted the bank and followed their procedures for having a new card issued and charges reversed Prior to the third incident, which occurred a couple of days before Thanksgiving 2017, they implemented a policy whereby I must contact the bank before I travel or they will automatically shut my account down “to prevent fraud”, even though none of the previous fraud incidents occurred from out of town travel I was first notified of this new policy while on business travel, when my accounts were blocked with no warning or call to verify if I was making a purchase I travel for work 50-75% of the time, so an out of town purchase at a restaurant or hotel is for me There is no excuse for treating customers like this and it is not a reasonable expectation to have a customer notify the bank each and every time they go out of town It also is completely ineffective at preventing fraud, given that (1) none of the fraud incidents occurred at a regular brick and mortar business, and (2) it happened again after they “call us” policy was implemented

Sufficient Fees ("NSF") resulting from him continually writing checks and transferring money from his account when there were insufficient funds to cover the checks and transfersAs you are aware, CUW takes concerns from its members very seriously and, if possible, attempts to reach amicable resolutions.As an initial matter, Mr*** is requesting the reversal of four ' Overdraft Privilege (ODP) Fees' rather than NSF feesIn connection with Mr***'s checking account, he joined CUW's ODP ProgramUnder the ODP Program, rather than automatically returning, unpaid, any ofMr***'s non-sufficient checks or transfers, CUW may, as a discretionary courtesy and not a right nor an obligation on CUW's part, pay the insufficient itemsHowever, paying the subject items will create an overdraft in the subject accountThus, Mr***'s nonsufficient checks were actually paid by CUW in lieu of being returned to the merchant due to insufficient funds in his accountAs part of the ODP Program, Mr*** agreed to pay fees for each paid ODP item by CUW.Mr*** provides, " I incurred several NSF fees in which I told them I had made a banking errorI was unable to make it in time to the Bank that day." Mr*** is implying that he made a simple error and made a deposit to cover his insufficient checks and transfersThis is untrueMr*** did not make a simple error and, more importantly, he did not and has not placed sufficient funds in his account to cover all of the insufficient " internet check/online transfers"In fact, since this complaint has been filed , three additional ODP items have been paid by CUW maxing out his ODP limitAdditionally, ten more insufficient transactions have been received and are now being returned as NSFPut simply, Mr*** is writing checks and making transfers from his account that has insufficient funds for his transactions.In other words, Mr***'s account has not had sufficient funds in it to cover his overdrawn account created by his insufficient internet/online banking transfersThis is not a simple error and his claim that "he was unable to make it to the Bank that day" is irrelevant because he never deposited sufficient funds in his account to negate or otherwise avoid the ODP feesAccordingly, CUW is not going to reverse the ODP or NSF fees as the account is and continues to be overdrawn

seriously and, if possible, attempts to reach amicable resolutions. This dispute arises out of Ms. [redacted] December payment to [redacted] Card from her CUW Savings account which, at the time, had insufficient funds to cover the payment. After reviewing the complaint, her account history, and related documents, it appears that Ms. [redacted] is confused regarding the transaction. Ms. [redacted] claims that she has documentation claiming that "shows [she] submitted to have the funds pulled from [her] checking account, however the transaction went through on [her] Savings account instead" which had insufficient funds to pay the transaction. A review of her account evidences the [redacted] payment Auto Debit was set up Ms. [redacted] to withdraw from her savings account in the month of November, which successfully cleared. The review also demonstrates that the December payment was also setup by Ms.[redacted] to clear through her Savings account. More importantly, on December 29, 2014, a conference call with [redacted] Card, Ms.[redacted], and CUW was conducted regarding the payment issue. The [redacted] Card representative confirmed that Ms. [redacted] initiated the payment online and that Ms. [redacted] actually specifically instructed [redacted] Card to withdraw the funds from her Savings account. Thus, the error was created by Ms. [redacted] who specifically selected that her Discover card payment be withdrawn from her Savings account in both November and December. Even though Ms. [redacted] created the error by incorrectly directing [redacted] to take her payment from her Savings account, please be advised that CUW will reverse the $70.00 fees. Thus, the $70.00 will be refunded to Ms. [redacted] as a courtesy.Should you have any questions or need additional documents, please feel free to contact me. Mr. [redacted] his $50.00 loan application fee- the result he was requesting.  Unfortunately, CUW is compelled to respond to Mr. [redacted] irresponsible and completely unsupported claims of fraud. In an effort to make their accusations seem more important, people like Mr. [redacted] embellish their complaint by simply using terms like "fraud" even though there is no basis for doing so. CUW operates in a highly regulated industry and it does not "defraud" its members or potential members. CUW makes every effort to deliver outstanding and timely professional services to our CUlTent members as well as prospective members throughout the communities it serves. CUW has been in business for almost six decades and has thousands of satisfied and happy members. CUW is one of the fastest growing financial institutions in Arizona and takes great pride in its customer service. It is disappointing when people like Mr. [redacted] simply assert unsubstantiated accusations of fraud regarding well respected organizations such as CUW.In sum, CUW fully resolved the Complaint when it previously refunded Mr. [redacted] loan application fee as requested. On March 17, 2014, [redacted], CUW's Vice President of Lending, personally telephoned and spoke with [redacted]. [redacted] and [redacted] had a detailed and amicable conversation regarding [redacted]'s loan application. [redacted] requested (and received) additional information and personally reviewed [redacted]'s loan application. Thereafter, [redacted] responded to [redacted] within a few hours after receiving the additional financial information. Thus, from CUW's perspective, the issue and outstanding complaint have been satisfactorily resolved. I have had repeat issues in dealing with Credit Union West and would not recommend them to any of my business partners or friends. I had trouble getting my loan account set up. I was successful at making my first payment so I thought everything was ok. Went to make my 2nd payment and it showed linked but it did not go thru. One minute it was pending and then it was gone. They charged me a 5.72 fee so I called them to find out what happened and ask for my fee back. They had no record and told me they would have someone contact me but they never did. I called again and the same thing. They said they would have someone call me but again no phone call. I would not recommend this credit union and will be closing my account once my loan is paid off. I was also told that the payment should be made a few days early so it would post on time. In my experience when you make a payment that is the date it was paid.

I have been long time customer of Credit Union West and just have a saving account and checking. I have [redacted] and had a car loan that needed to be refi at Credit Union West. I then applied for a car loan and with my credit score over 700+ and perfect payments my whole life the Banker [redacted] had falsely qualified myself to the point I got declined. I showed my pay stub and it is always over a certain amount and she decided to round down over 10% of my check and decided to not include my additional income causing myself to get declined. She is not properly inputting correct info because I was not looking for additional services and she pushed us away for no reason. I'm not saying that I am setting up complaint for getting declined, I am saying she is falsely imputing info on documents to decline.

I will now visit location and close all accounts. This credit union is a scam and falsifies info.

Thanks,Desired Settlement: I would like to be properly qualified my someone experienced in DTI and not personally decline for personal reasons. I was solely declines because of income and its because [redacted] at branch wrongfully imputed info and should be fired. I'v been glad with all services at Branch but hers. If no help I will cancel all account and continue to file reports of this branch fraud and my experience through all reviewing departments.
