Review: In early October 2012 my son took his 2002 subaru wrx into creekview garage in [redacted] to determine why car was smoking and where antifreeze smell was coming from. Was told car had a blown headgasket, and gave the ok to repair it. They told him that they stand behind all their work. There is not enough space here to type all the problems we have had with the car that are directly associated to the work they did. On the day he picked it up, he only made it about 1 mile before taking it back and leaving it because it was running so poorly and cel indicator was on. After picking it up the second time, it had to be returned to have a part installed that they failed to put back on the first time. 2 weeks after that, it had to go back again because we found it was leaking oil (1/2 qt in 400 miles) from a valve cover they forgot to tighten the bolts on.1 month after, I took it to another garage. They agreed about poor idle and lack of lower rpm power, and not sounding correct and cel on They did some test and corrected a small vac leak but with out tearing it apart would just be guessing as to what was wrong. Then took it to subaru specialist garage in [redacted]. They took motor apart and found valve clearances not in spec, intake & exhaust lifters installed incorrectly, large pieces of old gasket under new gasket causing it to suck air, along with several other items that should have never happened. All the items fixed by [redacted] auto were necessary because of poor rebuild job by creekview, and if not corrected would have caused serious failure in the future. Since being repaired by [redacted] auto car runs great, idles smoothly sounds good and no more cel indicator on. The mechanic in [redacted] who fixed car said he had never seen such a poor job as the one done by creekview. I have notified creekview owner of this matter but he has not responded. As a side note, the mechanic who did the job at creekview no longer works there?Desired Settlement: Between the 2 garages that I took the car to after the headgasket repair by creekview garage, I have over $2300 in additional trouble-shooting and repair work. If the job would have been done correctly the first time by creekview, there would have been no reason to seek repair elsewhere. Therefore, I feel I am entitled to full payment of any cost to correct the problems after poor job by creekview garage
