Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Indeed I did sign at move out, It was the only way I could end billing for further chargesI was aware my security would cover most of it, and what was left was to be billed to the new address I was a led to provideI did not agree with the charging of the door; in fact, I raised my concern to the police and to a woman at the main office not located at creekwoodThe cops said since someone had tried to break in amd the door was in the shape it was in it needed to be replaced so for mine and my daughter safety I paid for an immediate fix, as our safety was not a concern to anyone else without me payingDoesn't mean I agreed to the chargeI called after noticing charges hit my credit, no communication or anything about the charges or them going to my credit prior to me contacting Teri B***
Kindest Regards,

prorated rent as she moved out 08/30/2014. The damages [redacted] was charged totaled $130. I have attached a break down of the charges from her move out inspection that she agreed to and signed. [redacted] was charged $169.17 for damages for the door she mentioned; however, this was charged and paid for (as she agreed to those charges) prior to [redacted] moving.[redacted] called me directly at my office about a month ago confused about her charges as she stated she thought she sent me a money order for the $116 balance. I explained to her I never received a payment and she then stated she would check her bank account and get back to me. I never heard back until I received your letter with her complaint.Sincerely,Teri B[redacted]Property Manger

In regards to the Policy Attached to business response: The entire policy states personal property and personal belongings, in addition, if I'm reading correctly, it states liability coverage is not covered for the acts or omisiions of the resident. That damages must be paid by resident if damages are due to negligence of resident, guests or family members. I was over charged for a door that was part of an attempted break in, during a time where there was a string of attempted break ins in the complex as well as burglaries. I have written to the police lieutenant to receive incident records of the other incidents at Creekwood during the same time frame.
As stated before, I did not agree with paying for the door; however, needed my daughter and I to sleep safely at night, in case whoever it was came back. As far as the accusation from personal knowledge of myself and ex-husband (from mine and [redacted] friendship, prior to her being property manager), my ex-husband I left 1 year prior to incident, was not a concern in this incident as he was transporting military vehicles to New Jersey for his 2 weeks with the reserve unit. In fact during the attempted break in, and charges for the door I was dealing with Talitha and her Boss who was out of the area but happened to be up here for a meeting. Ms. B[redacted] had just started at the property, and I did not want to get her involved with the situation, and make her uncomfortable. This complaint is strictly towards the company charging me way more for a door that was not damaged "due to negligence of resident, guests or family members" (so I could be safe), then sending more charges to my credit that my security deposit did not cover at move out. I have attached the police report that I was told by management would not change the fact that I was to pay for a new door, so I did not provide it.
Thank you,
[redacted]
