This was hands down one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with in my lifeDo not believe the reviewsEverything was great when we got our estimate for a three bedroom house move-they assured us it would be smooth, all of our belongings would fit in their truck (we went through everything we had to move with them over the phone)We told them we had a closing to be at by noon and they assured us we could leave if the movers were still moving and we would meet them at the new houseThe move went terribleThey slammed our stuff around, did not speak English and after two hours were not even half way doneWe had to leave them to attend the closingWe made it very clear everything had to go! They began calling us during the closing telling us our stuff was not all going to fitI couldn't understand them so I had to call the company and their manager-she got in touch with the movers & responded that it was "just some toys" being left behindI told her my kids need their toys and everything needed to be out of the house as the new buyers demanded it empty, but having no choice I called my neighbor and asked if the movers could leave some of the kids toys on her lawn till my husband could get there to pick them upMy neighbor took picturhusband took pictures- it was not s couple of toysIt was a $carpet, a $mirror that they cracked in half, a piece of artwork, and a ton of others stuff! (I have pictures I'm trying to post here of my neighbors lawn literally covered with our stuff but it doesn't seem to be working )When I called the company back the manager said they could send the movers back tomorrow but it would cost us another moveThe manager "jimmy" was the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever dealt withI called the next day to complain about my experience and he called me a liar, Kept trying to play games and talk in circles and refused to help me at allHe told me he didn't believe me and to email him my so -called picturesI emailed him the pictures of all my belongings tossed in my neighbors lawn and my broken belongings and he called back & said he wanted to "make it right"I told him he needed to send a truck free of charge to get my stuff left overnight on my neighbors lawn and he said he'd call me back after he found a crewNever called me back! I called back & he had some other woman tell me they decided they don't "work for free" And they couldn't do anything for meMeanwhile after unpacking my boxes at the new house-all my kitchen glasses are broken (I wasn't surprised because I saw the movers slamming boxes marked "fragile dishes" down hard on the floor)My husband and I cannot stress enough how terrible this company isTRUST ME--GO WITH ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY these guys are the WORST!! I am rejecting this response because: He offers nothing for damaging a $safe and sets of furniture and an office deskAnd now I am a liarThat in itself would be a reason to reject the offerIts a shame, he initially claimed to call me back in an hour, and take care of the situationNow he claims the situation never happenedMy only option would be more complaints and court actionI signed because I was assured that the office was told, even though they were closed for the nightI was lied to be the crew, and now the owner won't man up and accept responsibility for their actions, and negligenceHe keeps bringing up the reviews......if he had just shown that he actually cared, and tried at all, I would have left a decent review, or no review at all, and just went about lifeNow he wants to play the game to see who blinks firstNot professional at all

Everything went well regarding their moving my things on 1/20/16, nothing was damaged. But when it came time to pay them I had the $380. It was then that they pointed out that the bill was only $330. because I had already had paid a $50 deposit which I had forgotten. Then they said it was customary for each person to be paid a $50 tip. I was shocked. They said that the $50 over that I had in cash was good for 1 person but that I needed to pay the other 2 their tip as well. I told them that all I had was $4.00. I said it again that I only had $4. It was then that they asked me if I had a credit card I could take the other $100. I told them that I didn't think I had an available $100 on any of my cards. So they said to call & see if I did have enough $. I was still in shock, so I did call on one of my cards & I did have $114.00 available. They waited while I called. After I got over my shock & reviewed the contract, that nowhere on the contract that stated a $50 tip was needed. It took me a week to call them back & when I did, the lady I spoke to said that wasn't supposed to happen & that they didn't run their business that way & she said that I would get my $150 back immediately.

I waited almost a month before calling them back because I was waiting for the credit to come back on my charge card. When I called them back a guy named Alex said that he would fire the 3 guys who handled my move that day. I did forget to ask him why I hadn't gotten my $150 back. I also called right back & said I was going to a Dr's appointment & would not be available for the next 3 hrs. I didn't get a call back later that day, so I called again the next day & another guy said that Alex had just gone on lunch break but that he would have him call me back as soon as he came back. I never got a call back. So the next day I called back & the other guy said that he was busy & I said that he told me yesterday that he would have him call back. He just said they were busy. Finally I got to speak to Alex & he said that I needed to very careful as to the words I used...at the end of the pone call he said that I was starting to use slander & liable language.

I called 2/22/16 & talked to the office gal. She said that if I had been upset about this tip problem I should have called the next day not a week later. I said that Alex had stated yesterday that he would get this resolved on Monday with a speaker on so
that everyone would hear what I had to say. She told me he wasn't available. I'm not happy that a month has gone by & I have not received my $150. back.

A crew was working a job across from my residence. Six feet from the rear of their truck was my parked motorcycle. When I went downstairs to move my motorcycle, I noticed my bike had debris and scratches consistent with it being knocked over. Since they had been working for quite sometime, it's hard to say when the incident may have occurred. When I approached a member of the crew regarding the situation, he became combative, verbally assaulting me and making threats to my person. Other members of the crew became aware of the situation and joined in to the aid of the one member I had originally approached. Racial epithets were thrown, gender insults, and physical threats were made.
I immediately called the police and the company phone number listed online. I spoke with a representative by the name, Alex, who assured me he would get to the bottom of the situation. After investigating the issue, Alex said he spoke with the customer and the customer assured him he wanted no involvement but offered he arrived with the crew, not seeing the truck make contact with my bike. I began to question Alex if the customer was with the crew the whole time, Alex, himself, became combative and aggressive. Alex's tone was elevated and he would not allow me to speak, since he was talking over me. At the end of the conversation, he told me he was busy and didn't have time to deal with the situation. I'm unclear how making threats and offering racial epithets is not something you deal with immediately.

The manager "jimmy" was the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. We were contacted by Daniel [redacted] on 5-23-16 for a next day move.  Move took 4.5 total...

hours.  The drive form [redacted], Chicago, IL to [redacted], Lemont, IL is about 30 to 45 minutes itself. Leaving around 2 hours of load-unload time, certainly not a long job or one to complain about.  Especially mid week in May at a time when everyone is eager to get all the hours they can.  Disassembly and reassembly are all part of a basic move and unless instructed otherwise done. Its hourly why would we not? I am not sure who is trying to intimidate who “I grew up on the south side of Chicago” knowingly hired a north side company thinking gonna push us around. What all was not unwrapped?  I do not see shrink wrap on the bill. When the bill was being completed the guys called in for a credit card charge and the client I can clearly hear in the background laughing and happy. Showing up with a small truck? It is a Full size 26ft moving box truck not a small truck.  Did the other company damage the stuff and we are blamed for it? The next day I received a call about the safe being damaged. We discussed briefly a resolve.  I believe he said the safe was bought from Costo. What we did discuss was that he was going to look into what a replacement would run.  I few days passed and did not hear anything. It being Memorial Day week I thought maybe he could have been busy. He was suppose to call with a way to replace the safe. Instead, chose to go on Yelp and Angies List to leave bad reviews. I seen them right away however treated them for what they really are.  Classic case of leave bad review and wait for the company to buy you out. The reviews were put up on 6/2/16. The safe was and is the only item reported to be damaged to Crescent Movers.  With how things have gone it is only reasonable to offer the standard 30 cents per pound per article.

The move was completed during normal operating hours. The only item brought up was the safe. The coverage is 30 cents per pound per article; not full replacement . In the spirit of moving forward I will offer a full and final settlement of $200.
