Review: This company is 3-4 months behind on their billing statements. Therefore, if and when insurance doesn't cover a claim the patient is responsible for 3-4 months of "out of pocket" expenses, before the expenses are even realized. This was my case: I was renting a piece of medical equipment, never received a statement, didn't know it wasn't being covered by insurance until 3-4 months later. I called to see why I was being charged they explained the whole insurance issue, told me because they were so far behind, on billing, it wasn't my fault and out of my control. They were going to give me till the end of December to either return the medical equipment and not be charged for the months they were behind or I could continue to rent equipment for the monthly amount. I chose to return the equipment as I didn't feel I could afford to rent it. At this point they told me I could buy a piece of returned/refurbished equipment for 1/4 - 1/3 the price I was renting it for !! ( Why would someone choose to rent equipment rather than buy it outright at 1/4 -1/3 the price----I was never told or given this option until I said I couldn't afford the monthly rental fee) I feel as long as they thought they were getting paid by insurance or by me everything was great for them---why give anyone a less expensive option ---as soon as they thought they were going to lose a paying insurance company or customer---then other options all of a sudden were made available. HMMM and then we wonder why health ins. is so costly when companies are pulling this kind of thing. Also, I am still being billed for the months they were behind ---so much for returning the equipment by the end of December and not being charged ----because they are behind and it being out of my control !! When I questioned this---the billing person denied she told me this, and said I was still responsible for the months I had the equipment. If I had been aware of the situation the equipment would have been returned several months prior.Desired Settlement: I'd like a refund -- and for other customers to be billed in a timely matter so they don't find themselves in a similar situation.
